Where to install catch can

Has anyone installed an oil catch can on thier F56? If so where did you put it? There is so little room under the hood, I just don't see a good, ready to access location for it.
Please don't let this thread devolve into a discussion of whether or not a catch can is needed. There are other threads where that had been discussed in detail. Let keep it to where are good locations for mounting one

I'd like to know as well. I've had them on other cars and was happy with the results. But this 2.0 is really crammed in the engine bay.

The B48/B46, just like the B58, have basically zero benefit from a catch can. It's not needed.

@dannieh42 Hope all is well and wanted to know if you found a solution.

I came across Airtec Motorsport’s catch can on Kill All Chrome’s site with a picture of it mounted.

Have a great night and motor on -Rich

Have not seen any real exact fit catch cans for the B engines and not much carbon build up compared to the n14 and n18 that needs blasting and catch cans.

We have universals that you can tap like the one above. https://www.ecstuning.com/Mini-2015-...nce/Catch_Can/

Maybe on the right hand side near the rear. 6 oz would be smaller to fit

Carbon build up here on B Series, its slight : https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...b48-check.html

The Airtec can is listed as a pre-LCI fit. Would there be any difference for a later model?

I have purchased this to give it a go to see if i am able to fit on a 2024 F56 LCI2. I do see the LCI2 does have a additional vacuum line with small canister but think i can rearrange. The other connectors look to be the same. I will report back after it ships over from the UK.

Needed to make a 5.5inch spacer and was able to tap the stock plastic threads to mount due to the LCI2 engine cover difference.

Did you catch anything after a while? Saw the intake manifold tend to not have much build up.

Hey Rowland, any news on the catch can? Is it doing its thing? Wondering it it's a necessary mod.

So far after 1500miles very little in the can. I would say not needed and if anything it will only cut down on any oil film if you have any that collects in the intercooler pipes.
