Traded in my 2020 MINI Cooper S for a 2023 JCW that I factory ordered.

It's a manual JCW signature with the red multitone roof, moonroof delete and piano black waistline, in Nanuq white.

Immediately put the lowering springs/swaybar/intake/JB+ from the old MINI on it and I love it.

Can you do sunroof delete on any color roof option?

Was the black waistline a dealer install?

Black waistline was part of the factory order and it arrived at the dealership that way.

At the time the car was ordered MINI was allowing the moonroof delete on the Signature trim only and you could do that with any roof color.

New orders would be 2024 model year cars and they are bringing back classic trim with no moonroof but you can't do anything but body color roof with a classic trim. You can option Iconic and delete the moonroof and pair that with any of the roof color options (including multitone). But that is as of right now, who knows what will be allowed in the future.

 

Were the dealer giving discounts on the new 2024 or MSRP pricing only?

 

This one is a 2023 but MSRP would be typical for a 2024 since there are no incentives for them right now.

 

Do you feel like you are getting heat soak with that open intake filter setup?

 

Not particularly, but it's mainly a daily driver and the sole reason I got an intake was to accentuate the turbo noises. I can't see myself caring about 5-10hp + or - because of it.

 

Was this an option on the configurator at some point, as it doesn't appear to be there now? Or, is this something the dealer can request when submitting the order to MINI? I realize you can buy the pieces (full set) individually, but it obviously makes things a lot easier getting it from the factory already on the car.

I don’t think they ever put it on the customer facing configurator. It’s available to add on an order in the same way that all weather floormats, wheel locks, and mirror caps are.

MINI’s configurator doesn’t show all available options and accessories.

same situation with the moonroof delete not being on the website.


Nanuq white is literally BMW’s Mineral white metallic. I wouldn’t say it’s a full pearl coat but it definitely is a metallic. Way different from Light white or pepper white.

 

Got it. Sounds like a port installed option. At least that was the case with my Black Jack mirror caps on my '16 JCW. They were ordered with the car, but were installed at the port. I actually thought they would be installed at the dealer and I would be given the black caps that were replaced, but apparently they were installed at the port and the black caps never made it to the dealership with the car :(

If it is optioned in on the original build then the car is just built that way, They don't switch out the parts when it arrives at the port. The only thing the VPC does is add in items like floor mats, wheel locks, valve stem caps etc. Even with those they just stick them in the trunk for the dealer to put on.

 

Looks great... I ordered my 24 JCW on May 3 it arrived 7-3 two months to the day. My car was slated to go into production in two weeks so the dealer made all the changes I wanted, that's why it only took two months to get. I too wanted the black beltline trim and black mirror caps but was told it wasn't an option to do that. After I received my car my salesperson told me he ordered an F56 S convertible and now it give you the option for it.

I ended up just wrapping mine and have on order black mirror caps.
