Mine ended up being the harness that was bad.

The second one is the module and the harness. With the module and harness installed I get P12A9 and P10F2 codes with the P10F2 code dropping the MINI into limp mode. When I take the module out and run the bypass plug I only get the P12A9 code. It is like clockwork. When the unit is out I don't have any codes.
