Tunes

Ok
These have been out a while now.
I am aware of the Dinan tunes (piggy back).
Are there any other options out there? Any true tunes?
I'd love to get more reviews on the Dinan tunes also - worth it? I'm not a cheap *** but 1k seems heavy for not all that much gains...

If you believe that Dinan will truly support any issues to the car that MINI won't cover and you have a newer car with warranty left then the Dinan is a good deal. On my F56 with the Elite and sport mode engaged the car is actually more power and pep than I generally need. In mid mode it drives great. (btw - support on some issues reported in a few threads cast some doubt on Dinan suport at this point)

There are a few ECU tunes talked about all the time on NAM. I'm sure the fans of those will chime in. Now that I have the Elite I have no real need for the ECU tunes as I am not going to be adding any of those performance mods to take advantage of the tune.

You can also with the Dinan sport or another piggyback from other companies, berger, NM, etc.

The Elite was in the $700's when I bought and self installed so no fees on that install.

If you don't care about the warranty and want absolute power and upgrade path with mods than go with Bytetronik, Manic, etc.

$700 isn't too bad for the Dinan Elite - I thought it was more like $1k
I'll have a look at the others you mentioned. Thanks!

Dianne Elite in F60 since the first week I had the car. Pleased with the performance and would do again.

Where did you buy it for $700?
I'm only seeing it on ECS for $900.
Thanks!

When I bought it from ECS it was on sale and also $100 cheaper list price. Now I'd look at waymotorworks.com as they seem to be selling it under $800.

here it is https://www.waymotorworks.com/dinan-...ng-module.html

Got my Dinan Elite from Way for $799. Installed in 15 minutes on my 2019 and can be removed easily. Paired up with a Pedal Commander and the Countryman is a ton of fun!

When you installed the Elite, did u disconnect the battery ? I have the Sport now and instructions did not require battery disconnect. I’m going to change over to the Elite next week and the instructions for this did say to disconnect. Will it mess things up if I don’t ?

I disconnected the battery when installing the Elite and followed the rest of the instructions. Not sure if you will have any problems if you don't.
