Originally installed in May of this year. They replaced it once and that was good for a while. So far, since I pulled it apart an reinstalled it, it seems to be working perfectly. I never had any driving issues, just CELs. I'm cautiously optimistic that the issues are over.

Apparently, Dinan is working on a new version of the software and will let me know when it is available. i really like the way it transforms the car so I'd hate to get rid of it.

Is there any installation vids or member install pics around on the elite?

So much for wishful thinking. After two days of flawless CEL-free driving, the CEL returned. Same as before P12A5 (Absolute Pressure Sensor). Just as before, driveability is fine, power delivery is great, just a pesky CEL that I hate looking at.

I cleared the code and will see how long it lasts this time. If it persists, next step is to install the blanking plug, clear the codes and see if it comes back. If so, I'll uninstall the harness and see if it returns. If it doesn't, I'll send the harness back to Dinan; if it does return I'll take it to the dealer to fix the sensor.

After reading these post I hope that these issues with the unit are more of the isolated kind; I was looking forward to installing the Dinan (because of the whole Warranty thing), on my 2020 MINI. At this moment they dont have units available for my model year yet, hopefully whatever this issue gets resolved (assuming it is an issue with many units).

I thought the D440 0052 fits the 2020.

I was looking for the Elite for the whole warranty stuff, called them up and they said they need a test car so they confirm parts etc. Guess they haven't gotten their hands on a 2020 yet.

Installed Dinan Elite this morning and only took it around town a bit for like 5 min. The first impression is, ahhh, not like I thought. Now, I haven't given it a chance yet and I will commute tomorrow on the highway. I guess my expectations were higher. It's like going to a movie you hear is the greatest and then you get disappointed. There is still a pedal lag and now i'm thinking I should pair this up with the pedal commander? Trying to justify the $700+

so it will take a little while for the computer to tune in. I would drive aggressive for next couple of days to let the computer figure out your driving style, That being said, I don't know if the Elite is worth 700 dollars. If you are not worried about warranty, it would be better to get a custom tune for close to the same money. I did not pay 700 so I am happy with what I paid, but it is not a huge difference over the much cheaper NM Power module. I have the pedal booster and I really like it, for the money if I was paying retail I would get the NM and a peddle booster. The peddle booster makes the car super responsive and is crazy fun with the Elite and the NM. Hope this helps.

well now I don’t want to return it. I mean it is crazy easy to install. I’ll check It out this week and I will have to get the pedal booster. If you look at those YouTube videos especially this one guy with a challenger, I know it doesn’t increase horsepower but the video and their honest opinion was priceless even he had a guy that was a hater loved it. Only thing with that is that’s $300 I mean is there a cheaper comparison version of this thing out there? And thanks for your response.

All three piggybacks I've owned, Dinan Elite, Dinan Sport and JB+ kicked in within minutes of driving. If you put your car in Sport mode and don't immediately feel the bump, something isn't right. My F56S instantly became a twitchy torque monster. If anything over time it mellows out a bit or you just get used to it.

Are you saying that you are feeling 0 increase in power at all? I mean with the power the unit is supposed to put out, your butt dyno should instantly feel the power. Unless you mean you are feeling the power, but you were expecting a much much higher power?

No I feel it. I thought for the quick time I had with it it was ok, but just ok. I think maybe my expectations were really high. I haven’t given it a chance yet. My commute week this week will tell me. I’m not looking for 500 hp but I was really looking for that pull. I have to admit my 16 stock CMS felt a bit more pull I also had a WRX once and I loved that engine also

this video the guy has a demo in his house. Really showed me something.

I had 4 Dinan elites; 3 of them felt o.k. (better than stock). One of them the difference was immediately noticeable. I pulled out of the dealership and the car was breaking traction instantly. It redeemed my purchase until the CEL code.

I posted this elsewhere- unit # 1 of 4 was wrong module "car stalled a few times", unit # 2 felt ok then quickly threw code. unit #3 of 4 was fabulous then quickly threw code. unit #4 of 4 "currently installed" feels like unit #2.
Clear as mud?

You certainly have a lot of patience to put up with Dinan through 4 units. I'd have thrown in the towel after #2.

yah that is a journey for sure. I am really liking mine thus far. I did put my original air cleaner back on do to some throttle surging, but has cleared up now.

so did you have a cold air intake? I have one on and I do hear the spooling an awful lot now. I’m not sure I’m liking it so I might put back the stock air box also.

I did, I have the K&N Performance CAI. the air box from the factory is pretty good so I will stay with that for a while then try the K&N. The car seems to idle better with the factory air box.

So week 2 with the Elite and it is way better performance wise but I still get small hesitation and lag here and there an in-between. I'm thinking the Sprint Booster will compliment this Elite in a HUGE way? Can anyone chime in here? I'm about to pull the trigger becasue I think the Elite needs a "push"

mine does the same thing, my justa did as well. I like my sprint booster. I think it helps throttle be quicker and turbo seems to spin in faster.

Just as a side not for those with issues. Did you disconnect the battery when you installed and remove battery from the key
