Problem finding rotor fitment for my factory JCW with 8/2006 production date

Hello, I have a 2006 R52 Factory JCW with a production date of 8/2006. So it has the red JCW calipers with the 294mm front rotor and 14mm lugs. I am looking at the Stoptech Rotor Street kit, however they show nothing for 2006 for any model with 14mm lugs. Checking the specs, it looks like the front rotors of my JCW are the same as a 2007 R56. However the rear rotors seem to be .2mm different in diameter. Any clarification would be a great help.

Thanks, Jim

I have 14mm lugs on the front of my 05 s and the street kit fit no problem.

According to mini the 14mm lugs did not start until july 2006. All mini's prior to that had 12mm lugs.

See the link below for details. You can use the R56 “S” front rotors and R50/R53 rear rotors on your first gen factory JCW.

+1 for this

That's what I did. Bought R56 front rotors from my 2006 JCW July build. Fit perfectly.

Cool. I am going to guess the rears are the same as the R56 as well. It would seem that our cars are essentially 2007 models in relation to the brakes.

Update. After finding some parts diagrams, the rears share the same rotors. However the calipers are different as are the pads.

Please check the link I provided a few posts back. The R52 rear is the same as the R50/R53.

It is different from the R56 for the Pre July 2006 models. However after July 2006, the rear rotors are the same part number as the R56's, I am guessing due to the 14mm lug holes. The calipers and pads are still different though.

So as best as I can figure, I can order the 2007 R56 S Stoptech street brake set plus an extra set of street 2006 R52 rear brake pads. That should do the trick, though I will have an left over set of rear R56 pads.

7/2006 was the split year from m12 to m14 bolts so the rotors have larger holes.

We have them here, the rears just have the larger bolt holes and are shared on the rotors.
