The whole thing is stainless steel, including the fron resonator and the two mufflers (which are polished to boot.....) I am not sure they used "anyone's" everything has MINI and JCW stamps on it.

Does it give you any gains in HP at all, or it is just the polished toy that sort of looks nice?

Well, it's lighter than stock and sounds better (and a bit quieter). As to HP gains, it adds about 45-50 ponies in conjunction with the other pieces of the kit, most coming from the smaller pully and software upgrade.

I just put a larger throttle body on, and that in conjunction with my BMP cold air intake and the car is a little monster.

well, just the works kit us supposed to take you to over 200hp, and the cold air intake should add about another 5... I am guessing, and this is purely that - a guess... that I am at least around 215hp at this point, but who knows.

I did just have a little fun coming home from the movies tonight.... a new Focus of some variety pulled past me revving the engine, obviously wanting to race. When we got to the light I let him creep ahead of me and gave him at least a half second lead when the light turned. Then I hit it and flew past him getting at least a full car length ahead before slowing down and letting him go on by. Juvenile, but fun....

I think the best mod for a JCW is a properly tuned ECU. Latest word is that the JCW ECU is a de-tune. The stock S ECU program may produce more power than the JCW ECU. Supposedly the JCW ECU smoothes things out considerably, but may be down on power. I'd look into an ECU since you're into modding.

I've looked at the JCW exhaust and the Milltek I have installed on my car... they appear identical to me, with the exception that the tips say "Works" (or something similar) instead of Milltek. I'd bet that Milltek does an OEM for JCW.

but what about the sound? Is it identical to you as well? Don't like the deep
bubbly sound...

I don't think I'd characterize the sound of the Milltek as "bubbly", and I'm not really all that familiar with the sound of the JCW. Take a look at the two of them, though... you'll see what I mean.

So what are the HP results of the JCW exhaust? I would be interested in hearing what some folks are getting out of the JCW exhaust.

Any links to info on this that you know of, it's the first I've heard this.... not doubting you at all, just hadn't heard this and thought I was up on most everything.

There is the Dinan software upgrade now, but damned if I don't want to pay money for it after paying for the Works software. And besides, when I had the throttle body put on they said the works software was all I needed....

but I do have a 10% off coupon on all Dinan service work, and get 10% off all parts at my dealership.... still though.... that's a lot of pizza....
