I have a late '06 factory built JCW and am in need of the JCW certificate of authenticity. I have searched all over and can't seem to find a path to get a replacement one. I'd appreciate any help on this! I'm the owner / principal of a design studio and can also re-create one if someone could send me a high-res photo of their certificate.

The dealer I would think should be able to get it for you by your VIN# or by the serial number on the valve cover since it was a factory JCW as you state.. I might be wrong and I am sure others will let us know.

Those were of course for the dealership or self add on JCW install kits for 1st generation MINIs. I have the JCW Sound Kit on the Cooper and really like the sound of the exhaust and intake. On the Cooper Sound kit they come with factory BMC oiled filters for the triangular one.

Could not find the part number for the certificate letters.

They talk about it here but there was no resolution.

Wow, I thought James Day's car was the most famous R50 around. Now even his cert' is famous.

 

I received one with my 06. Sold it in 09 and recently purchased a used 05 JCW Vert... Seller didn't have the certificate. :-(

 

There is no official part numbers for these that I could find for the documents. It does stink when an owners does not keep all the goodies.

Might just have to print the files above.

 

I do not think you are going to get a replacement....
The orgionals were SIGNED by the namesake....and at the time, was a seperate company that worked WITH mini/bmw.
Bmw/mini subsuqently bought "the works" and brought it in house, so to say...
And a signed document that, by definition, is a one off copy that goes with a SPECFIC kit cannot be recreated...or it makes all real ones worthless....
Sounds like you are just out of luck.

 

For those who found this thread.... You can still get replacement certs...for now. PM @MINI on Facebook, Instagram, or snap chat. I got mine about 3 weeks after pming them

it is legit, from Mini in the UK. I sent a message to them on facebook, they asked for some vehicle info, kit #. They sent it to the dealership that ive used in the past, then they fedex'd it overnight to me.

 

Thanks for confirming. I messaged them last Wednesday on Instagram but haven't received a response. I'll wait a little longer and try Facebook. I almost never use Facebook so I'll have to figure out how to send a PM.

 

It would be great if they use the diamond plate graphics in the background like the originals. Maybe too technically challenging lol. Anyone have an actual link to their FB page?

 

I searched within Facebook and on Google and can't find an official Facebook page for MINI UK. There's a Google hit that seems like it should be for MINI UK but it leads to MINI USA.

 

Yes, would like to know this too. I have an '04 dealer JCW upgrade but no cert. Searched FB without luck.
