JCW jcw gp 2 diffuser
I love that every photo has a sock-covered foot in it.
Thanks for posting. I REALLY don't have the money to spend on this right now, yet you make me want to whip out the plastic with your taunting pictures...Once you put it on and post pics it may put me over the edge.

I was planning on building my own molds and making a set of diffusers for my car since I figured these would be outrageous or even impossible to get. Currently building a custom turboback exhaust so this couldn't have come at a worse time moneywise but of course that's never stopped me before, lol! Looking forward to seeing Santa's big brown truck pulling up my driveway!

Thanks - I'm really excited that MINI let these out to the general public. It's a great, affordable way to dress up the back of the car.
Besides the JCW aero kit, this is my favorite mod to date. Looking at it, I don't know that I need to do anything with the stock spoiler.

Agreed Steven! And thanks KFMuller for sharing the experience. It keeps me satisfied till mine arrive. It's funny because though I've done plenty of performance mods that've made huge improvements on my car but these diffusers have been the top mod I've wanted all along. I'm sure that's heavily influenced by the fact I thought it'd be a nightmare finding a worthy diffuser but I think these things compliment the JCW aero kit perfectly! Moreso even than any aftermarket spoiler I could buy. Of course I've been considering one of those since day one as well haha!

I emailed Outmotoring and asked about the screws. They are unaware of any additional hardware needed for the install. They said all the screws you need are the ones that are already seated in the pieces of the kit and you reuse all the other screws off your car once you install it. I pointed them to this thread for reference.
If you find anything out let us know. I won't be installing mine until next week after I get back in town.

Here is what Aaron replied to me with the other day when I brought it up:
I know those pieces as they can be found all over the car, I might actually have some sitting around. They can be a PITA to remove, so make sure you have the proper sized screw driver so you don't strip the plastic head of the screw. Then the rivet just prys out.
I don't think these are the screws that were being referred to earlier in the thread though, so we will see.
I double checked and found that the only hardware needed that is listed as a separate part are 2 black plastic screw type rivets and based on what we recall they were not in the box, however they should already be installed on your MINI and are meant to be reused when the new parts are installed. we can send you 2 for free if you would like?:

As someone who has actually installed these on his own car, I'd suggest you point Aaron to the threaded metal clips on the brackets, and the fact that the tunnels have three holes (two in the metal sections at the ends and one next to the metal area) that correspond with the threaded metal clips on brackets. These are also the areas on the diffuser that will first be exposed to extremely quick moving air, so you may want more than a plastic clip holding them to the brackets. The ones I got from my dealer were missing these screws, too, so I'm not blaming Outmotoring, that's how MINI is shipping these.
can someone shoot a pic or post a part# for the screws that are required for the install? MINI is only showing 2 black plastic snaps (#5 on the diagram)..

I believe there are 8 screws that are mounted into the tunnel brackets (4 in each) There are included in the kit. There are those 6 additional threaded clips on the other end if the tunnels brackets that don't have screws (2 on the metal and 1 on the plastic of each piece) that we seem to be short. I don't have a part number and I believe the screws that were given by the mini dealer to the one guy who installed it were not the correct screws but they seemed to have fit.
