I just installed the diffuser on my Coupe. It took two hours to install. 1 hour and 45 minutes to take out and put back in the two small screws on the sides and 15 minutes or less for the rest.

Do I need the two clips and screws at the most forward edge of each of the plates (appears to attach to the existing plastic panels under the car)? I went to the auto parts store and got a couple of trim clips thinking I was missing them. The fit is extremely tight with the plate attached to the bumper and there are gaps where the panels and diffuser (bumper) meet. If I "undo" the attachment to the existing underbody panels, it may allow for a better fit. Do I keep the diffuser panels attached to the underbody panels, or keep it?

Thanks for any feedback.

Pic of gap with the panel fit. Normal?

You should be able to close the gap by loosening the metal brackets, getting everything positioned then finally tightening them s the last step. Lots of discussion on that in this post. Also, there are clips/screws that connect the front of the panels to the existing underbody panels. I got mine from Mini. Those part numbers should be listed in here.

I actually did not install the 2 screws on the end that connects to the factory belly plastic and it fit better and holds fine. Take off those 2 and see what happens.

Nicely done! I like the way you left the undersides black; it provides an interesting contrast with the painted surfaces.

I also like the fact that it's unique. It's great having a relatively understated and classy mod (i.e., not ostentatious like some MINIs you see) that at the same time allows you to stand out from the pack.

What is that thing?

There's a black plastic cover on the lower strut mount bolt on the left side of this car (viewable immediately to the left of the jack stand). The other side does not have this cover.
I just noticed my 2013 "Justa" has one of these covers on only the right side. Am I supposed to have one on each side or is this something that's attached to the headlamp leveling sensor (I have xenon headlights).

Thanks!

Seen this a couple times, suppose to be on both side, sometimes they fall off when bumped or it was a production line miss.

Thanks! I'm hoping to get it replaced when I go for my next service (I'm still under warranty). Otherwise, I know where I'll be getting it if I need to buy it myself.

I have a nice pair of the blacked out markers. I'd have to figure out how to disable w/o generating a bulb warning.
Am kind of fond of how my markers look. Any chance you wound get the gloss black set with markers?

Not at this point. After looking at the markers not being their are so much cleaner. Also we are the only ones who have them, most of the world outside of the USA does not have them so now those people have factory look gloss black.

I guess you could cut those and install the markers, using the old ones as a template and reuse the plastic mounts that are molded in.
