Nice #!

Can you get a sound clip of the shorty + JCW without the crimp?

I'm about to do the same set up on my GP and would love a little preview of the sound

Very nice and quite similar numbers to my car with very similar parts!

Sure is a lot faster, isn't it

ThumperMCS- I'll see what I can upload a video W/sound using the wife's camera whithin the week. I can tell you this- The hump removal didn't change the sound at all but then I installed the header & it's a lot louder than I anticipated. It's not too loud 'till you get on it but there's definitely no sneaking around anymore.

Davisflyer- It is a lot fast but deceptively smooth in delivery.

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge on noise levels between the RMW street header and the Mynes V2 with stock cat on the JCW exhaust?
I have heard the RMW street with JCW and it is way too loud for my taste.
Thanks, Steve

The only other header I've heard in person is the JCM (John Cooper Motorsports) header with the resonator muffler removed- That car was crazy loud!

Davisflyer and Bahawton I like your cars so much....I had similar work done.

Question about the install of the 15% pulley, GP intercooler and 450 injectors only nets a 3hp gain over what Davisflyer had done.

Any details to share on that?
Curious.

The Mynes is MUCH louder than the RMW street. I heard one up on the Dragon that was mated to the JCW exhaust.

The difference between the 15% pulley and the JCW pulley doesn't amount to that big of a difference in peak numbers, especially once other parts are added and the car is tuned, usually around ~5hp. It will make torque come on a little sooner though. GP intercooler won't do much for peak power, just a tad more consistency. Injectors aren't really a power adder....just allows the car to be tuned more effectively and get adequate fueling in.

So, I'd say his 3hp difference is pretty spot on....

Thanks for the info. I know a lot of guys will run the Mynes with the straight pipe and eliminate the cat which makes them really loud. Do you happen to know if the one you heard had the stock cat in place?
Thanks, Steve

Don't forget different dynos...

I think Davisflyer's #s were recored on a traditional dyno with the wheels on.

My #s were recored on a Dynapack chassis dyno with units directly bolted to each hub.

Neither dyno is better than the other but I'm sure they would record different #s for the same car.

That's correct, my car was tuned on a Dyno Dynamics.

I tried to record the exhaust with our camera yesterday but the audio was too distorted to use.

I wish I had a good microphone that was weather poof so I could tape it to my back bumper & go for a drive.

Sorry guys : (
