About to pull the trigger on an 09 JCW

Hi all! This is my first post here. If all goes well and the financing works out, I will be trading in this

(and paying some of course) for this

this weekend.

It'll be parked next to my 2011 Fiesta, Kermit. :-)

Just wanted to say this forum is awesome. Spent a few hours every night for the past week learning stuff about Minis here!

I personally think you're getting ripped off. I think your mustang is worth much more than a white square with a red "x".

Well, can't see the pic but I'm sure you'll be MUCH happier.

Just out of curiousity, how did you get a 2011 Ford? Was that one of those deals where Ford gave out a certain amount and had the drivers keep track or something like that?

Cool car nonetheless...

And welcome to the madness....

Oops I accidentally deleted the first pic i uploaded. should be working now! 09 JCW hardtop, british racing green.

As for Fiesta, I'm one of 100 "agents" selected/won a contest and we're helping promote it. I've had it for about 5 months now and it wraps up pretty soon. They picked me as I "have a following" on my blog and such and would be a good person to get the word out.

Oh holy crap. BRG with white or black? or straight BRG? I'm going to order the BRG/B. I just can't for the life of me decide what options to get.

I agree with you on the xenons, couldn't get a Mini without them..I love the color of the light they emit, as well as the road coverage. How are you liking the sport suspension? I've been thinking about ordering it instead of the JCW suspension..

white top. It was just what they had at the dealership, not a custom order. 2009.. which I was told is better than 2010 b/c they will start trying to save money in 2010 models and do things like not include the trunk nets, etc.

As for sport suspension, it's a bit stiff but I think that is more of from the fact that I also have runflats. I wouldn't get the JCW suspension, but the sport suspension is a good enough for-now option at $500. JCW suspension if I recall is like $1300 and if you're going to go that far you might as well install a better aftermarket coil-over solution.

Congratufreakinlations! That thing is nice! I could never understand why people went with white on BRG, aside from the historical reasons..But to be honest, it's kinda starting to grow on me. DANG

One more question about the sport suspension though. As what I assume to be a daily driver, how does the suspension treat you? Do you think it would become a nuisance in the long term? Thanks

To be honest I really can't comment on the suspension - I came from a mustang with full coil-overs and a very aggressive setup, so this is *definitely* softer and better for a daily driver, but I don't know how that compares to a regular JCW. :-)
