I actually prefer not to have the badges. I would rather be in "stealth" mode that way nobody knows that I have any JCW parts on my Mini. Another reason is b/c its not a true JCW kit. I am a cylinder head short of being a full JCW kit (with the exception of the supercharger which I dont have either). After the JCW brakes, suspension, exhaust, plugs, injectors, and software the last JCW item that I am going to get is the JCW door sills. After that, then I am done with the JCW theme, I believe.

One more thing you need is the limited slip diff, as that also comes with the JCW pkg for 2006, along with the big brakes, which is already on your list.

Also, there is a special JCW air diverter for the IC, and the valve cover badge. On top of that air diverter, I think there is a JCW CF model available as well.

I considered the JCW sills too, but dismissed that upgrade and moved on. Take some picks and tell us how you like them

Also, I need to investigate the JCW suspension, not sure what is involved there, likely a slightly lowered and stiffer ride.

I have thought about the JCW dash, but I am trying to come up with something else to do with my current dash. Steering wheel is a no.

Unfortunately with my mini being an automatic I cannot have the LSD. So that is also out.

Dont hate me but Im not a big fan of the carbon fiber look. So with that I have also ruled out the mirror caps, hood scope, liftgate cover and the downtubes.

My wife has some ideas about what she is going to do with the intercooler cover. Once she comes up with her idea, Ill post some pics.

Thanks for all of the ideas. Again just stay "Tuned"......

Yeah, it would seem kind of silly to get a JCW pulley instead of a 15%...

While I certainly agree, many would follow that logic to many other components of the JCW product line.
I am happy with my JCW car, and am happy to upgrade some select components, and still generally refer to it as a JCW model. Of course, the selective list includes the pulley.

I'm 99% sure that JCW refuses to do any chip tuning for the automatic.I was rebuffed when I proposed such a purchase through my dealership over a year ago.RMW a better solution anyway.

Yeah, I agree. I don't think a 15% would compromise your car (or anyone's car) as not being JCW... Its a theme.

I have been told that I can have the JCW software upgrade, but I will have to check into that alittle further. Thanks for the heads up.

That might depend on the dealer...some are more willing to work with people than others.

I just wish all of the dealers would do the samething. You can find one dealer that will install aftermarket pulleys (Baron Mini in K.C.) and the next wont. One dealer will give you an awesome deal on parts (Morristown Mini) and the next wont even budge.

I am hoping that my mini dealer will not have a problem with the JCW software upgrade. They already know that I have the 15% pulley and have not said anything about voiding my warranty. I guess Ill cross that bridge when I get there. If my local dealer wont do it, off to K.C.

Well thats a good start! You could always drive to a dealer that will do it if you have to.

If I have to, I will make a weekend of it and get it done. Maybe even go to the Boulevard Brewery!

Update on the exhaust: Still have not received it. I ordered it on the 27th of July. Talked to Pete at Minspeed and he told me the tips arrived last Friday. I called him yesterday and he told me that the box was damaged and that UPS would not accept it. Called him this morning and he told me that it was shipped out last night and that I am scheduled to receive it Aug. 11th! He is in the process of trying to get it to me by Friday. Keep your fingers crossed.

I prefer the stealth mode also. When I had my JCW kit installed, I told them not to put any of the exterior badges on. The only way you can tell it's a JCW is if you look at the exhaust tips, or if you pop the hood and see all the badging there.

Well I have received most of the items that I have ordered. The only thing that I am waiting on is the JCW exhaust. It is on its way and should be here at about 10pm tonight. I really hope I receive it tomorrow so I can get it installed. We shall see. I will take lots of pics to post.

I finally have received everything!!! It only took 2 freaking weeks. Oh well, at least I got it all. This Saturday we are installing the exhaust and next Saturday we are installing the rest of the JCW stuff. Again, I will take as many pictures as I possibly can.

Yes we are going to install the JCW brake kit, suspension rear sway bar, and lower engine shield on the 23rd. My father-in-law is a technician and he has offered his services. I think he is having just as much fun as I am--maybe its because hes not paying for the parts!

This Saturday we are installing the JCW exhaust and plugs. I cant wait!!!

Change of plans. We are now going to do everything this weekend. Gotta love the last minute plan changes.

Anyway, Friday night we are going to install the exhaust and remove all of the struts. Saturday we are going to install new struts and springs and hopefully the brakes, if not then on Sunday the brakes will be done.

My wife and I already started painting the JCW calipers, springs and rear sway bar blue (I'll probably get sh*t for this). We also painted the lower engine shield last night. Right now my wife is finishing up the calipers and springs. I have already taken some pics. I will try to post them later today.

Morristown Mini has the brakes on sale for less than $700.00 now. I bought mine when they were priced around $850.00. They do ship them fast 2. It only took 3 days and I'm about 1200 miles away from them. Check their website. They have all sorts of JCW stuff on sale.

WE ARE FINALLY DONE!!!!!! What a relief. We started friday night and took off all of the oem struts, springs and front calipers. Started back on it Saturday about 2 pm and had the whole thing finished by 5:30 pm. Everything went pretty quick. I do have pictures to post, I just have to find time to download them.

Thanx Maxi!!! I was hoping I'd hear from you again.

I have never enjoyed motoring as much as I have these last couple of days. It has been sooo much fun. I havent even turned the radio on. I just love hearing JCW exhaust note when you are cruising at 40-45mph. It sounds sooo good.

I used to love taking hard corners and now I LOVE taking hard corners. He has no body roll at all. The JCW suspension is one hell of mod. I thought that after having it installed he would ride alittle more harsh then the stock suspension. I admit it, I was wrong. It almost feels like the ride is more smooth. I mean you can still feel the road, but its not as rough. Im sure once I get new rubber on him, the ride will improve even more.

I dont have any comments on the brakes as of yet. I have not broken them in. I think I still have 50-75 miles to go. I will say they do feel better than the stock brakes.

Well I am almost done. I have a few more things to get installed on "Turkish" and I will be done for now. I will be getting new rubber for him either next month or the following month. I am getting the JCW injectors with the software upgrade next month and finally I will be getting the JCW door sills. After that I think Im going to take a couple of months off and think about what to do next. Who knows, it might be the GP intercooler or the JCW head. Time will tell.

FYI--for those of you mini owners in the lincoln/omaha area, if you have exhaust, pulley, suspension, brakes, cai that you may want installed, pm me and I will talk to my father in law. He mentioned to me that he would be interested in doing a few of those things on the side. I will also be at the Culvers Show-n-Shine on N. 27th this Friday if you have any questions.
