New stripe and stuff

I was going to go subtle but ended up going the opposite direction. My MCS is British Racing Black body and roof. Better known as Astro Black. So I was unsure on a color for the stripe. Then I saw some white mirror caps for a good price in the market place for sale. That started it. I ordered them, had some stripes put on today and got me a set of magnets for when I autocross.

I've been waiting on my stripe before I add the hood scoop guard so I'll post a picture of it with the guard when I get it painted. Hopefully the MINI will be washed by then.

It looks cool. I'm glad you continued the stripe over/through the hood scoop, it looks much better that way. I'm thinking about doing a similare stripe in black on my dark silver Mini.

That's so smooth, it reminds me of the old-fashioned Ribbon Candy grandma used to keep around the the house. I said it once already, but...

SSSSSWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTT !!

The grill is gutter guard cut to fit. A few dollars from Home Depot. I do believe there may still be someone in the Marketplace here in NAM selling some already cut to fit.

I only did the hood so far. Not sure if I'll be doing the back or not. If I do then I'll need something on the roof to tie them together but I'm not sure of a single stripe down the roof.

I know it is a little late now, but the JCW wing made for white roof MINI's would add a nice bit of white to the rear. . .

That's an excellent stripe job. Did you have to replace the Mini emblem? The books say it is a one shot deal if you take it off. Did you do the stripes yourself or pay someone else?

There's no way I could have done that. I had a local shop do it and am quite pleased with the outcome. Especially the emblem. He trimmed around it.

Yucca, my brother has a friend in his club that works at a body shop and has his own at his house. Maybe later this year I'm going to pull the spoiler, fill in the old spoiler holes and repaint the area and spoiler to match the car. Leaving the cf on top and am considering painting the edge wing part white to match with the mirrors.

Dang Steve, I thought that you did the stripes yourself. I was bragging to Josh about you/them. Anyway, it looks sweeeetttt!! I'm using "British Racing Black" by the way.
