Ok, she is dirty from driving 100 miles in the rain to the paint shop, and the lighting is terrible, but here she goes:

Headlight rings

Door Handles

Gas Door

Still trying to decide what to do with the repeaters and the Mini logos...

Very nice.

Why not black for the repeaters, since your side mirror housings and roof are already black? Crazy as this sounds, I'd leave the MINI logos chrome just to highlight them and to make them unique from the remainder of your paint scheme.

Thanks for the kind words!

62Lincoln, I am leaning toward going that direction, but might swap in the Cooper side grills.

Paint them like mine! Take them off and get them painted black. Looks awesome imo. And if you get them painted, they will look great. I was cheap and spray painted mine. Keep in mind, if you paint the lense black, it will be illegal. If you wan't to stay legal, then get the Euro lenses.

I think you should also pick up the reflector tint. I also have that, and it looks great! I also have my tail lights done.

And some Stealth Bulbs while you're at it.

Looks great! I will also be there someday.

Looks great.
I want to second the black on the repeaters. Tape off the red S, and paint satin black. Add smoked covers from Moss Mini.
This is what I did and it looks great on BRG.

Otherwise I am tring to to catch up on the headlight rings and door handles.

Keep up the great work.

Ummm, curious...how did you tape off the "S" sticker? That means you didn't get the chrome behind it...doesn't that show?

Here's an example of mine:

I heard the door handles can be a pain in the a$$ to take off. Can you confirm or deny this?

EDIT: I did my gas cap Dark Silver and my side grilles Dark Silver with a black "S". I'll try to post a pic tomorrow.

Did you take off the headlight rings or mask them? Do they come right off?

I purchased new rings, as the paint man says the metal bends up when you pry them off (they did.) He said no matter how carefull he is, it still ends up breaking.

Cool. Thanks. I was thinking about buying new ones to have painted, now I will. You have me trying to decide between DS and black.

Anyway, here are my grilles and gas cap...

personally i'm not a fan of the S so i've got cooper side grilles which i plan on having color matched to the car. its nice to see that DS grille, looks hot.

other than that, shave the logos and buy some euro trim pieces without the reflectors in them.

I just painted my gas cap stain black yesterday and tried to take out the repeaters. What's the scoop with getting them out? I was able to get the lights out easily but couldn't tell which way the repeaters popped out. I'm going to paint them satin black to match, with the red 'S' remaining. I've got CR mirror caps and Volk Time Attack wheels on order (satin black with red lip).

I need to black out the belt-line, get smoked side lenses and order new light surrounds - any advice on part numbers for the headlight surrounds or how to remove them?

The CR car above looks hawt!!! Exactly what I had in mind

I just taped the red part of the S. Don't have a pic of just the repeter but you could repaint the red of the S.

I did take the repeter grill apart but still only taped off the red S.

I will get a pic soon so you can sooon

You have to pry on them from the outside of the car. Get a rag or something, and cover the screwdrive (flathead) with it. Once you have that, stick the screwdrive under the front side of the repeater (towards the front of the car) on the buttom-left corner. Pry that out and do the same for the top-left corner. Once you get it pryed out enough, stick you're finger in there and pry the rest of it out. Then disconnect the lights. BE CAREFUL, I put a little nick in my paint then the screwdriver went through the rag!

you do not need to do this, feel around behind them with the bonnet open and push them from the inside while tugging on the front. Once it pops, slide it toward the front of the car...

That's how I did mine. No screwdrivers on the paint! Wrapped or not.

BTW Tampa, I showed my wife your car, and DS headlight trim it will be.

EDIT: This is my 1,000th post, WOO HOO!
