what? you don't put your car up on a lift weekly and powerwash it like I do??
1300 miles on it so far...the pic is showing the exhaust I installed. I sanded it down, steel-wool'ed it, acetone'd, then three coats of ThermoTec...silver on the mid-pipe and satin black on the backbox....err muffler for you Americans. Three days of driving and heating the system up has fully cured it and it's holding up well - those pics were taken after a week on the car including driving it to work daily and alot of rain recently.
yeah...i agree. that is the cleanest under carriage ive seen on a used car.
also, the single cleanest beltline job i have ever seen. mine looks like crap
yours looks awesome!
Cool! I am sure they'll look great Tampa MCS! Here are a few shots of my color matched Cooper repeaters. Not sure if anyone else has been patient/crazy enough to do this themselves other than me. Taping these grills off was a pain!
Every time I see your rims....I want to go out and get new ones!

if you are talking about mine, thanks! the key is to work slowly, use small lengths of vinyl (cut to length for the section you are doing), make sure it's clean to start, do it in the sun (the vinyl is more likely to follow the curves), and use a plastic tool. I picked up a small plastic tool used for old-school transfer letters (the rub-on kind)....it came in handy to make sure the edge tucked well along the bottom. This was my first time trying this on a MINI, so it can be done by n00bs
yeah definately work in small sections, keeping the vinyl taut...also only pull back the paper backing in small increments. there is much less chance of air bubbles and wrinkles.
i used a credit card to "tuck" the vinyl at the top and bottom.
