Looking for a good magnet/vinyl guy

Can anyone recommend a place that does custom decal and magnet orders? I am looking to get a couple racing numbers done. I am sure I have places locally to choose from, but a referal from one of you guys is just as good, if not better.

lemme know what you want done i can make them for ya. if you want magnets similiar to what i have in my sig, i can do those and get them shipped out asap.

i work in a design studio / print shop. we have full capabilities, vinyl, print, yadda.

i cant do number outlines, but i can do magnets with vinyl ontop of them. i can put vinyl overtop of the magnet and then you can cut it out by hand with scissors, but no warrantys on that lol

PM me lemme know what you want, ill get you a price. believe me itll be very competative (dirt cheap)

defylogik, I am looking for a couple of white circles with the number 6 smack dab in the middle. I just figured it would be white vinyl with a smooooth 6 right there printed black. A portion of the bottom will be cut off to accomidate for a piece of molding (going on a vespa). Give me a price and tell me they will hold up in sun and wet and we'll make a deal. I can work up the eps files with exact dimensions...

We did our magnets via Iprint.com- we always use them for business cards, and the numbers came out fine. We did one large and one small "gumball" per sheet (they come as a pair) and trimmed them with scissors. Took like 10 minutes and cost about $54 with shipping for the set.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON MAGNETS:

DO not under any circumstances LEAVE THE NUMBERS ON THE CAR FOR SEVERAL DAYS, and if it's raining out you may want to consider NOT using them!! Unknowingly, we left our gumballs on for a weekend when we got them, and by the time I went to remove them, moistire had crept under the magnet via capillary action. Where the gumball was, it left a dull spot in the paint!! Luckily, I got the mark off with a bit of Macguire's Color X, but where the magnet sat on the bonnet stripe is slightly dulled and I cannot get the mark out (the Color X is not safe for the sticker). Now I may have to replace my bonnet stripe...

I checked with people on the Detailing 101 thread and they said that Mini paint is known to react this way to moisture trapped under a magnet or sticker, so ONLY USE THE MAGNETS WHEN THE CAR IS DRY, make sure to wax the application area as well as the back of the gumball thoroughly before installing, and, for the love of God, remove the magnet when you're done motoring. I'm not sure why Mini paint is so damned cheap (I left a magnet on our Chevy Suburban for over *2 years* one time, and it left nary a mark after removal), but there you have it. It's dissapointing that Chevy stock paint is so much more durable than Mini/BMW's, but what are you gonna do?

Good luck- I love our gumballs and we use them all the time- we just don't leave them on for extended periods any longer.

I wonder if this would also be the case with the magnetic stone guards? I have them on my JB/JB and am careful to remove them when I wash the car to re-wax the stone guards. I haven't really noticed a color difference, guess I will check more closely.

Yeah, I had this exact same concern... I was considering buying them, but I held off to see if I start to get scratching on the back wheel flarings first- I don't want to get a dull spot just to MAYBE stop a rock hit. It STILL strikes me as odd that Mini makes an officially licensed product like the magnetic stone guard when they also used paint that's so succeptible to moisture trapped beneath such a product.

Let us know how it goes with the 'guards.
