Need some advise with my front Grille

I just bought a black plastic stick-on grille that goes over the original crome grille, I didn't know it was stick-on until I got it. I have a few options.

1. Remove the crome slats and put the stick-on one on.

2. Paint the slats. Is vinyl the way to go?

3. Buy M7. (Too much money!!)

I'm heading towards painting the grille black but I'm worried about removing it from the car. Can I get some pointers from you guys. Things I need to know about removing the grille, because I've read it can be tricky. And how do I remove the middle grille on the top of the bumper?

I've heard of several people going with vinyl and having pretty good results, and you can always change it back with little fuss.

It took me a while to find a sign place that sold the Avery black vinyl tape for other than ridiculous prices (many people wanted over $50 or $60 for the required ammount) but I fonally found a SignsUSA (I think- I have the contact info at work) that will sell me a peice for $20. I hope to attempt this mod in the next few weeks. I'd try it this weekend, but I'll be busy driving around.

Moreorless found a peice that was 60" by 24", but when I asked for a quote for such a large peice I got the $50-$60 quote everywhere I called. I measured the grille and it looks like a hunk 12" by 36" would give you enough. Would you agree, Moreorless?

LOL... that's freaking AWESOME- great find Englishbloke! I tried searching for the same thing for HOURS. hate it when that happens.

I'll call them and check the finish- I can't see if it's gloss or satin or what. If it's satin, I'll get it from there, instead - I'd rather have a bit extra "just in case".

EDIT- Unfortunately the Harris Decal stuff is GLOSS finish, not the satin that looks best. However, I called over there and they're seeing about ordering in a roll of the satin finish stuff in black. I told him that several people from here may be interested in ordering some as well (the price really is good) to sort of sweeten the pot, as it were. As soon as they get back to me, I'll let people know or even put up a special thread.
