Awesoem add on. Question, I that a real MC hanging on the wall?

 

The body is fiberglass built to scale but has real body parts.....door handles, lights, mirrors, glass, wipers, etc. I freaked when I saw it for the first time too

 

Love the chrome rings and the carbon fiber mirror caps, but whenever I look up the chrome rings, they seem to be REALLY expensive. I think I remember them being over $50 just for those two. Seems a little excessive to me. Mind sharing how much they were and where you got them from??

 

Try ebay for the interior ring set. There is a guy selling them from time to time and from what I have seen the sets have been being won at @$60. But the speaker rings will not fit HK stereo speakers. The rings are plated plastic too.

For the small dimmer and blinker rings try MyMiniParts. They are only $25

 

I had some relatives visit from S. Korea not too long ago. They freaked out when I took delivery of my Cooper S :smile: Since imported cars are taxed up the wazoo over there, I bet your MINI gets plenty of attention in Seoul

 

I have had my Mini here for 14 months. Imported from the USA. Mini just started being sold here since Feb 05 and took first deliveries in Jun 05. However the cars are taxed. A 2005 MCS, automatic (which is all you can get through Mini Korea) is about $40K USD.!!!!!! Yes my Mini gets a lot of attention and will get more attention once my stage III build gets done this month.

I like that CF look caps too. If i can find CF look bonnet stripes,
i would definitely swap out my black ones. :smile:

 

the import tax here in thailand is killing me as well. The cooper S cost 2.8 mil baht here, which is approx. around 70k USD so the mini here is not too common as well.
