My car has an anthracite dash. I have a silver tach ring. I also have a silver e-brake handle. is this correct, or do I have a screw up?

Mine is silver trim on that with an anthrasite interior too. Do they make an antrhasite tach ring to be added later? is anthrasite paint available?

Having the same colored dash, I thought the Tach would look great painted with a matching color..After removing the Tach, one must break the seal in order to remove the silver rim to paint....Now the question; "If something goes wrong with that expensive $400 or $500 piece of electronic equipment..Will the Dealer say NO to any warranty ? Why take that chance ? It does match the three spokes on the steering wheel...

Thanks, but that's not my work. Unfortunately, I can't remember the screen name of the guy who owns the page and the car. But, it's one of the excellent pages I have bookmarked for future reference.

 

My anthracite has the silver tach ring and the silver HK speakers. I suspect they ordered X number of the body trims way before they made the anthracite available. I can accept the tach ring, but I really would've prefered if MINI had made the door speakers match.

 

The base audio system has anthracite speaker covers when anthracite trim is ordered. The HK system only has silver available.

 

I would have liked having the anthracite tach ring. As it is, the silver looks out of place.

 

After seeing what it looks like in Antracite from the above link, I'm definitely glad that mine is silver.

 

I'm glad that mine is chromed.
