Wooden panel (not what you think)

Or may be it is..

Anyways I was removing my dash off so I decided to wrap the panels to cover the ugly 2002 finish. I've seen someone here on the forum did it so I thought I would give it a go.

However because I was indecisive how it would turn out, I ended up buying some cheap China vinyl for $15. The quality of the vinyl is poor and they are difficult to stretch, so I ended having a few wrinkles here and there. It's my first time working with vinyl and the last 2 piece came out a lot better. Unfortunately I don't know how long it will last under the sun/heat.

Sorry for the low picture quality. Taken with the iPhone.

Looks good. Kind of a mat finish wood.

There is a factory wood dash ( its a design , not actual wood , unlike newer MINIs ) but its a really good finish. 51459141917 INKT

It doesn't look that bad! You should post up a DIY on this. I'm sure others would like to see how the process was.

my wrap job is quite disgusting lol. Not qualified to make a diy of it. Plus it's the same diy job as any wrap

that's cool, some cars look good with wood interiors, and mini is one of them

A classic look for a classic car!!
Nice to see somebody willing to try something other than fake carbon fiber!!

It looks quite good, but...

I don't think of the MINI as a luxury car so I guess I'd stay with my stock Camden interior. But yours is actually surprisingly nice.

Have to say I was a bit skeptical too but I bit the bullet after seeing this (this is probably the "wood" i'll go for if I'm going for 3m products)

One of the nicest, like the polar beige interior withe wood grain also.

MINI not looked at as luxury car then don't look at the MINI goodwood.

The dash... soo nice.
