Aftermarket shifter **** options for automatics?

Hello everyone. Has anyone seen any options to swap the stock shift **** to something else on automatics? I would love to mix it up with something else just to be different, but haven't seen anything at all.

I've recently replaced my shift **** with a manual MOMO ****. No lockout button, but still need to press the brake to shift out of park, or back into reverse from neutral.

Cool, so no need for the button with no issues?

No apparent issues on my 2005 S. Pressing the button became habit, so it didn't really change anything for me when driving with the new shift ****.

I meant to ask you, how did you remove the original ****. Did it come off or did you have to cut it off. I ordered a **** and expect it any day now.

I pulled it off while wiggling it back and forth.

WARNING: There are several threads warning about black eyes, fat lips, broken sun roofs, etc. from using brute force and the **** suddenly breaking free.

Slightly twisting back and forth while pulling worked for me. I think it loosens the **** gradually. The **** still pops off without too much warning, but with less force.

Be careful, I'm not responsible for any injuries and/or damage if anyone uses this method.

It came right off. When I replaced the shifter boot, it gave me a bit of a challenge but this time it did not fight. The new **** came in today, and 5 minutes later is was on the car. I could not believe it was so easy. Thank you for the help. I am thrilled!

Saw the shiftknob in the other post... it looks great! Good to hear it went smoothly, and injury free.

Best Shift **** I've seen for an automatic-

Step 1: Remove automatic shift ****
Step 2: Remove all other hardware related with automatic transmission
Step 3: Install Manual Transmission
Step 4: Install one of a HUGE variety of shift ***** now available to you
Step 5: Soup.

I spent 100000 miles straight driving stick. I am enjoying the shifting being done for me

My other two cars are stick. Here's a pic of my shiftknob and matte black indicator plate mods.

I'm confused on how you can get rid of the stock **** and still shift out of park and such. I tried shifting from park with my foot on the brake and still needed to grab the button to get it to shift from park. Same with going from neutral to reverse. Am I missing something here? This is on an 08 Cooper S as well.

Once you remove the original ****, the shaft that locks the shifter into place goes with it. That leaves only the shift interlock which will still require you to step on the brake, but will not have any other reason to press any button/lever unless you return back to park. The original shifter **** retains the shaft that is locking it into place after you shift out of park.
