Use something plastic, like a plastic knife to avoid scratching. Start at the bottom corners, where it connect near the console. This area has a small lip to get your prying tool in. Its all clips. Once you get a few poped loose use you fingers to work you way around mickey. I would suggest working around the bottom first, then use both hands/fingers to work evenly upward around mickeys face then ears. The hazard buttom is attached to the inside of mickeys head and has a clip in the wire. Getting it back on is alittle tricky. Make double sure you are aligned up straight before you start pressing mickeys clips back in. Ive done it several time and not broken anything. the first time it nerve racking.

ECS,

It looks like most of the parts are either not available yet or are backordered. Any idea when these items will be ready?

ECS, for what it's worth, I called and ordered the Mickey and received a phone call later from a person at ECS stating that my order has been cancelled as this product is not going to be available. Has the status of these items changed?

Excellent. Thank you for following up. I will be ordering them from you (pending the issue reported by the poster above).

Just replaced mine. There is a bit of a gap between the dash and the new mickey. I am going to leave it like this for now, if I hear any creaks, I might go back to stock. We'll see.

Piano black?!

I don't understand your reference to piano black as a trim option. As I understand it the speedo and vent trim either comes with chrome trim or no trim at al.

I believe the following is true:

No chrome = "piano black" trim = Matte black trim

unless things have changed in the past two years piano black is reserved for dash panels. With the exception of the tachometer which comes in matte black trim ring only the gauges and vents either come with a chrome trim ring or no trim at all.

Piano black = high gloss black. Not matte black.

Pic from ECS Tuning looks like a matte finish:

MiniLynsk's pic from page 3 looks glossy:

Clear as mud.

Its Piano black in the center , just look soft in the picture due to the white soft lighting.

MiniLynsk-

"Got from Ecs tuning. Piano black insert. Part numbers from a few posts up are correct."

Here is the black with chrome center:

Changed out my 2011 interior ugly grey for the nice 2013 Matte Black.
My understanding is it is either available in chrome trim, which I went with since I had the interior chrome package or piano black (Gloss). Here is one picture...

I'm baffled by the confusion over the trim options for the speedo and vents. They are either plain black plastic (unless they are pre-13 in which case they are a grey silver finish) with no metallic-like ring OR they are fitted with a chrome ring (chrome package). Shiny "piano black" is an option for the dash (and doors) only which includes the pieces on either side of the center stack (ac controls etc.).
