'13 dash in a '12

Was just at the dealer and noticed the 13s have black vents and dash surround. Has anyone replaced their 12 grey with the 13's black? I ordered the three parts from my dealer after the parts tech said it'd fit but the hazard button looks to be set back a bit. Should have taken a pic of the 13 that was on the floor.

I'll keep an eye on this thread too..

I was also thinking about having '12 parts painted by a auto body shop as another option. Not sure I can get a scratch proof job as a DIY. Seems like all interior plastic parts that get painted just scratch off very easy.

Keep us posted.

i was waiting for another month or so until the '13 parts became more readily available before i checked in with my dealer about these parts as well.

i've seen a few threads where people plastidipped or painted the rings and they just don't look right.

let us know how it works out.

Perfect! I've been waiting for these as well, checking Real OEM and Sewell's online part search periodically since the '13s started being delivered.

I have a 2012 with a black dash surround from the factory, if we are thinking of the same parts.

OK the parts I ordered were:
51-45-9-804-584 Trim
51-45-9-804-587 Cover
51-45-9-804-588 Cover

Had two separate parts guys confirm they would fit. The trim I have for my 12 is grey and smooth. The 13 looks to be texturized like the back of the vents and has a 'step' to them.

Thanks for posting the part numbers- but are you sure those are the correct numbers for the 2013 updated components? Those are the same part numbers for the parts on the 2011-12 Countryman, as per RealOEM, Sewell and ECS Tuning. Given that the parts were significantly modified, I'd expect a new part number- right?

Great! Yeah that's what the parts guys told me. I specifically asked them for the 13 dash parts and asked if they would fit my 12. Once I get them in I'll check if they match the 13 dash.

I was wondering the same thing, I was going to order them from Sewell, but noticed the same numbers so figured I would hold off a bit

I stopped by my dealer this week and spoke with the parts manager about the '13 dash pieces. He confirmed that the part numbers did change for 2013, but the parts still aren't available for order through dealerships; he could see the parts in the system with what looked like dummy part #'s (ending in 000-002), but they showed a $0 price and weren't available for order.

He mentioned they'd had the same issues trying to find the Black Line head- and tail-light rings for another customer.

Weare138- I'm hoping for your sake that the information I received is incorrect, but I suppose we should know soon once you take delivery. Keep us posted.

Checked and saw that RealOEM had finally been updated today, confirming the part numbers my local dealer had seen in the system earlier that weren't available for order.

For the parts I want (no chrome line), here are the P/N's:

Mickey: 51459810000
L Vent: 51459810003
R Vent: 51459810004
Shift Ring: 51169804630

Still no way to order them, that I've found. RealOEM shows these as "See NOS No Stock."

Yes, all 3 of the parts I noted above are available in chrome-line versions as opposed to the non-chrome-line versions I'm personally looking for. So you'd only need to buy these 3 parts- just make sure you get the correct version.

Chrome Line Parts:

Mickey: 51459810001
L Vent: 51459810005
R Vent: 51459810006
Shift Ring: 51169808182

You can reference all of these on RealOEM by looking up any R60 with a build-date of 11/2012 or later.

If anyone finds a source with these parts actually available for sale, please post and let us know!

Josh,
Thanks for the heads up. Yeah I dont want the chrome line. Im going to go to my dealership and see if they can sap out the numbers they ordered me. Being that they ordered the wrong parts.
