I'm thinking of getting another "mail-slot" scoop for my Chile Red all over "S" and have it painted black. Anyone have any pictures of this?

What is the cost of another scoop, as I'm not sure If I want to discard the red one entirely?

Does a new one come in any particular color?

Thanks for any help.

His, Chile RED over, Madness intake, Magnaflow exhaust, Helix 15% Pulley & RDR Swaybar
Hers, Electric Blue / Union Jack on top and BONE Stock

They come primered for about $70 from your MINI dealer, Having one painted in your color choice should run the low side of $50. They look awesome, keep your old scoop for use whenever.

Mine is Aspen White to go with my top, mirrors, wheels and bonnet stripes.

I bought a primered scoop from Brian at Classic MINI. From memory, it was about $60. I painted it myself and wasn't happy with the job I did, so I sold it to MGCMan and bought one from a guy in LA who bought a CF scoop for his black MCS. The colour change really jumps out at you!

I bought a scoop from the dealer for $50 and then spray painted it gloss black. It turned out well, and I liked the look. Let me see if I can dig up the pics.

Try these. The 1st is scoop I painted, the 2nd is factory painted one. My car is on the far left.

Looks great Agro, really makes the scoop "pop". I think I'm going for it. Anyone else have pictures?

The finished project. Install is a snap. I think it really makes the scoop "pop"

TwOMINIS,

Very Nice, I also like the advert for Pirelli on your rearviews.

I gotta get a digital camera and post a pic of my scoop too. Aspen White on a IB/W car. Got the piece from Agro and had it painted.
