No brand, they're generic. The guy at the shop told me, "when it comes to tips brand doesn't mean Sh%*." So $130 installed. Old tips got cut off and these got welded in place. 35 mins. For those of you in SoFlo.... I got it done at Prospect Muffler in Ft.L. I would recommend.
Those new tips do look terrific! What a difference. For what its worth there's a Sport Exhaust coming out for $786. I believe it will have different tips (and probably exhaust note) as well.
Man those look nice it fills it out more, GeoffreyM anyway you could get a sounds bite of what it sounds like for us that would be ( wait for it ) AWESOME
Outstanding upgrade! Every Countryman needs these. Mine will as soon as
i get it, and find a shop in the Seattle are that can make it happen.
Thanks a lot.
They do list exhaust tips, part #18 20 2 181 271, price on request
Turns out that part number is a muffler system and lists for $698. I didn't get the number for the left and right tips. I am going to the dealer later this afternoon and will take a look at that option and hopefully get a part number and a picture. The release date will be 3/25 from Germany for the 18 20 2 181 271 and usually take 5 days to reach the dealer.
I did an inspection the other night last week to see if our CM tips have the set screws on the tips like my R53. No such luck.
It looks as if the tips need to be cut off to be able to slip a new style tip over.

If you get it done, let me know which shop you went to. I'm also in the Seattle-area and I'm curious to see who can it

I took GeoffreyM's photos to Airport Welding in Snohomish, right along Harvey Field. They have tips that look identical. They just need to match up the diameter, and make it happen.
I took mine yesterday to get my tips done- they didn't have tips that look like Geoffrey's but I'm happy with their look. They are also a little louder and a little throatier than stock, though it's very subtle.

Nice look Sirius. Do you happen to know what diameter the connection end is? Do they slip over the stock pipes where there were cut off? I have a friend who is going to do my tips after my car shows up. So I will need to go purchase the tips myself.
Oh, and I hear that the "Grand Legacy" is supposed to arrive at Oxnard Tomorrow!! My MA says 5- 9 days is typical to arrive at Seattle MINI after port arrival. So maybe I will have it in 10 days or so. I can't believe it's almost time to go motoring!

Thanks! I don't know what the inside diameter is, sorry. I know that they had to cut the stock tips off and weld the new ones on though.
My CM took 5 days from port to arrive at NW MINI... you're on the last stretch!! Almost home! You're going to have so much fun!
