new tires and pressure sensor...???

hey all, i did search on forum but it came up with other stuff thta did not help me..i've 2005 mcs conv and just change my stock ruin flats to 17" black rims n tires.

does all car come wit tire pressure sensor? if i do, do i have ot ask mechanic to wired it or will it automatically detect the new rims/tires? if not, does it mean i have to periodically check my tires pressure with a pressure gauge?

sorry for asking but need to knwo it..

thxs alot..

Gen 1 uses the ABS sensor set up to check roll distance for the tire warning light. Gen 2 needs sensors installed on the rims, so you are good to go. You may want to hold the reset button so the car detects the new pressures, but, it might just do it on its own.

No, your car has the FTM which uses the abs system.

Yes, you will have to use a tire gauge.

Hope this helps...
