You know what I like that idea. Cause I wasn't sure about the white. Now what size squares what color to leave the spoiler and should I do the mirror caps. Also I have bonnet strips to put on which are black with the white outline. Should I not use them what do you think. Any ideas on the vinyl company?

This is just off the top of my head.
I'm guessing that your talking about the factory look bonnet stripes, if so and you like the look of them I would keep the rest of it classic, black & white on the roof and you'll just have to do what you can to experiment with the mirror caps (either black or ch/brd)
If you decide on custom with the match color ch/brd I think I would do something like a 1.75 x 1.75 or 2.0 x 2.0 (basically not to large) and as far as the bonnet I would think about a single, wide, matching ch/brd stripe and black mirror caps and spoiler.
Now for another descision about the stripe if you go custom, centered or off-set? Personally if you decide on centered I like the stripe that runs all the way to the ground, meaning run it on the grill slats and bumper cover too (if you don't have a mesh grill of course) and while your at do the same thing to the boot and rear bumper.
As far as where, if your not close to Lyle (lyles vinyl styles) or Todd (todds mods) you'll just have to check around locally. (I would think the stripes wouldn't be that bad as a D.I.Y. but I wouldn't want to take the chance with the roof.)

That was a great reply thanks. I was talking about the OEM stripes. I think I'm going to start off with the silver & black roof and try the mirrors. I'll leave the bonnet alone for now. I could always do OEM solid black stripes once I get the roof done. I think ill get them from lyle or Hannah at aesthetic creations.

Yes for me no stripes, I just did my mirror caps, all of my grill, side scuttles and door handles in black and like it, as far as headlight rings I did them too but honestly it was just OK with them until I did the scoop also. For me the whole project started with a beltline kit, it changed the look so much I just couldn't stop.

Personally, if I were to do the black and white on a pure silver car it would be roof only, (my tastes are very linier) and there is enough black in between the main body and the roof that it would look ok.
As far as the slvr/blk checkerboard the big plus is individuallity and the fact that it would be more unique it would show that you really put some thought into what you were doing.
