To stripe or not to stripe?

So here the deal, I've been gone on buisness for a minute and have recently been informed that a cat has been sitting on my roof and is possibly the cause of a tear in my roof stripe. Now here is the dillema, along with a list of other mods that I plan on doing when I get back (I'm finally gonna go through with the Joey mod too. I decided to suck it up and grow a pair) I want to remove my stripes. Now if I decide that I will keep them obviously I will get them fixed otherwise. So Yes or No? Help me decide!

Stripe, always stripe. Other than a full black out, I hate any stripe-less Mini, it just doesn't look like a Mini to me.

though if you were looking to change things around you could get rid of the roof stripes but keep bonnet and boot

Stripe

It doesn't really look like cat damage but I'd still kill the cat just in case.

Not much for animal cruelty but the thought crossed. I did consider zmiko's idea of keeping bonnet and boot and getting rid of roof.

Thats not from a cat. Someone tore that stripe. (BTW I do vinyl graphics for a living). Just the same though, lose the roof stripe and keep the rest.

I think the Cooper S looks great with stripes. Really complements the sporty nature of the car. The Cooper could go either way.

Lose the stripes. Sharper, cleaner. I removed my white boot & bonnet stripes a few weeks ago, and I havent looked back. Plus, people take your ride a little more seriously when its not rockin' stripes. (if that mattters to you or not)

I'd like to belive that but the car has been sitting in the back of my driveway unseen to the public for the past six months so I doubt it. But I am kind of going for loosing the roof stripes and keeping the bonnet and boot. I dont know though I still have another 20 days or so to decide. And Sketch has a point also, you do score points for seriousness without stripes. But then again they do look good...

Poor cat, don't kill him...

Just train him not to climb up on your MINI!

I say loose the roof stripes and keep the rest...

Keep the stripes... redo the roof and add pin stripes to either sides of the sport stripes.

Loose stripes are a very bad idea. They will flap in the wind. Stripes should be tight.

I like the color switch over the roof, so I wouldn't lose them. If you are worried about them getting torn again, isn't it better to have a torn stripe than scratched paint?

fix the stripe, or go w/ just the stripes on the boot & bonnet, leave the roof clean.

You might enjoy another British car commercial
