MINI Cooper S w/navi aftermarket gauge clusters

i remember searching around on the web and happened to stumble upon a someone who makes mini cooper gauge clusters for mini's w/navi. but for the life of me i can't seem to find the website again and i wasn't using my computer when i stumbled across this website so i didn't bookmark it. if anyone knows what this website is could you please let me know? i know i'm not the only one looking for this.

the new cluster made the numbers upright (instead of the stock ones where they wrapped around the tach/speedo) if that helps anyone, plus they were on like $130 if i remember

is that the full cluster for sale, or just the faces? i'd love to move the speedo over the wheel like a nav mini, and hack a car-puter into the original speedo area...

They're just the faces. I have a set. They look very cool but they are not the full gauges.

bummer. whats the easiest option to achieve my goal. (moving speedo to center)

i imagine i can buy the OEM setup for the steering wheel, but its most likely expensive.
any reason i couldn't get a normal gauge pod and put an aftermarket speedo there?

There is a hack for getting the OBC settings (like the speedo, etc in your tach screen) but I don't know the details. I *think* it involved having someone (like the dealer, or a shop with the right computer) going in and flashing something in the software...but you can probably find it if you do a search. I know it's been done, I just don't remember all the details.

what faces/led kit is that?

i really like that. looks 1000x better than stock and much better than the typical VW blue conversion.

Get it from eBay. They come up regularly. There's one for sale right now, $140 Buy It Now or Best Offer. After you install it, go to the dealer and have them program the car.

Starting in 2004, the tach can display digital speed as a standard feature (except for Nav/Chrono setup, but then speedo is already over the steering column). The on-board computer is something separate and there are different ways to get it depending on the year of the car.

The programming itself should take just a few minutes, but many dealers charge a minimum of half hour labor. This would be an uncommon request so they may need some time to look it up. Since what you want to do is non-standard, you may have to talk them into even doing it for you.
