Aero Skirt Parts and Install Questions

I just received factory painted aero skirts from morristown mini. There seems to be pieces missing. All I received was 2 skirts and 2 long black mounting plates - all thats in the picture is all I've got. At a minimum the grills for the openings are missing but are there any other parts missing such as other brackets, pins or rivets or the like? if anyone could itemize what I should have received and or a picture would be a great help. I'm sure that morristown mini will fix it but i want to be able to itemize exactly whats missing and not be further delayed in my install.

Also anyone have a link to install instructions?

The car isn't nightfire red is it? I've never seen a modded nightfire red, but it seems as if yours is a chili red.

car & skirts are chilli red, the skirts are in the sun and car in shade so they look different.

It seems that they've left out the bag of parts that comes with the kit. I bought the entire kit (front, rear, and sides) at the same time and it came with a couple of bags of fasteners. You should have something like twenty or so clips that attach the skirts to the side of the car.

I've attached the instructions and you'll find the clips on page 10. Good luck!

curious, how much did the skirts cost?

I have the front aero bumper, I've really wanted to complete the kit.

$625 shipped for the pre-painted aero skirts.

I had front aero bumper 3.5 years ago, the rear aero bumper 1.5 years ago now finally I get the skirts - so I too can't wait to complete the kit but to me it wont be complete until I get the JCW wing.

Hey, maybe ya'll can help me out. Im wanting to replace my old rear bumper off my '03 R50 with newer one. With the aero kit bumper, how is the trim done? Some have it pained some have it black, like the plastic trim. I thought the bumper and trim where seperate, is this diferent for the aero kit rear bumper?

Here is a good example of what i mean. See the unpainted one seems to have the arches built in and ready for paint, where as the lower one it looks like the arches are the seperate black pieces of plastic.

Help...anyone?...

They arches in the lower picture are painted with a special paint from Mini that has a texture much like the plastic pieces. If a person buy's the pre painted kit from Mini, they come this way.

yes the bumpers dont have clip on plastic valences, they're all one piece. The cheapest option is to paint the pseudo valence sections using the textured paint, so that it blends better with the rest of the plastic trim, arches etc. Some people decide to paint the whole thing body color, thats more expensive as you have to get the arches filled and painted and that cost me $400 (bit steep) to have a shop do it. Others want to retain the contrasting color for the trim but dont like the cheap plastic look so paint the trim a different color like gloss black. Thats the least common way to go and the way I went. So the photo above was the prepainted skirts I had before I then painted over the textured trim with gloss black and clearcoat to match the rest of my body kit. I took some photo's at the MTTS/LA this weekend will upload later and add link.
