I am not really sure if I like this...

I found a Thread on NAM; "Home Depot MOD".

It is Basically, a rubber lip for a Garage door. You put it on with double stick tape and screws with washers. Thats it... I am looking to get a Splitter for the front and I saw this...

Total Cost: $20

It is really not that "In your face" that most lips are. Actually it matches the black trim closely. After installing springs it is about 2.5 to 3 inches off the ground.

Let me know what you think...

If it looks as good in real life as it does in your pics then I think yes, it does look good on your car. A interesting detail. If it actually does something, that's even better!!

As long as...

You don't hit your garage door opener.

Yeah, it looks cool and seem to match nicely. It's not too in-your-face, so that's a plus...it also blends in well with the other custom touches you have.

My vote would be to make your own splitter. It'll look a lot more agressive than the lip and mine only cost about $75.

I made it out of fiberglass using MC2's template. Here's my thread on it https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=139783

And a few pics...

Wow yours looks fantastic... I am actually picking up a front bumper in the morning and will be working on my own front splitter design. Hopefully it will work out. If it comes out half as good as yours, I will be very happy...

This being the 'second generation' MINI section, the R56 already has something like that, it's just not as far forward on the car
