I'm not sure if I like this... Input needed...
I am not really sure if I like this...
I found a Thread on NAM; "Home Depot MOD". It is Basically, a rubber lip for a Garage door. You put it on with double stick tape and screws with washers. Thats it... I am looking to get a Splitter for the front and I saw this... Total Cost: $20 http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/m.../Front_Lip.jpg It is really not that "In your face" that most lips are. Actually it matches the black trim closely. After installing springs it is about 2.5 to 3 inches off the ground. Let me know what you think... |
If it looks as good in real life as it does in your pics then I think yes, it does look good on your car. A interesting detail. If it actually does something, that's even better!!
|
I'm sure it does diddly... It just looks a little lower in front...
I kind of sort of like it... http://planetsmilies.net/vicious-smiley-1815.gif |
As long as...
You don't hit your garage door opener.

 |
My vote would be to make your own splitter. It'll look a lot more agressive than the lip and mine only cost about $75.

Wow yours looks fantastic... I am actually picking up a front bumper in the morning and will be working on my own front splitter design. Hopefully it will work out. If it comes out half as good as yours, I will be very happy...

MiniDemon,
I like it. |
This being the 'second generation' MINI section, the R56 already has something like that, it's just not as far forward on the car
|
I realized last night tat I posted it in thr 56 section and not the 53... Oops...
I don't know how to move it to the 53 side... |
