I just picked one up from a fellow mini owner dirt cheap! I cut of the little bit of plastic and it works great! i did notice one thing though, where the harness goes through the head rest after i used it i noticed that the harness pulls down on the leather and pulls it away from the plastic, does this happen to you?

FYI, I just got a batch and test fitted them in my Clubman and no cutting was needed they worked fine.

should have called us, they aren't listed from Schroth that they do, but we tested fitted them and the schroth quickfit harness will fit.

What do you mean "That they do"?
Over the last few months that I worked with HMS I learned that they are the North American distributor of Schroth, so if you didn't get them through them then who did you get yours from? direct from Germany?

What took them so long was the legal end, they had belts they just needed certification.

I was wondering about this label when I installed my belts! Thanks for bringing this detail up. Here is the label on my belt:

My question, what is different between the belts? Is it hardware like bolts and washers? I did find out the star drive size for the rear seatbelt screw is different.

We admit our mistake. The belts are the same the only difference is the label. We will exchange them out no problem for the ones with the correct label.

Received the correct seatbelt. Note the serial numbers, but the tag is obviously different. Other than that, no difference! Ain't government red-tape wonderful?

Has any tech at an HPDE balked at an R53 harness being modded and then used in an R56? There are used R53 Schroth harnesses around I'd like to use in my R56, but it wouldn't be worth much if I went to a trackday and failed tech.

I have my R56 4 point harness for sale. I purchased mine from Phil Wicks a famous MINI racer who has them made. I piad $400 for mine and they work great. 2 bolts on the rear of the driver seat and you are good to go. This is drive side only. They clip into the rear seat locks. Never had an issue with Tech. If you are taking an instructor along sometimes they want you to have the same system so I just would use the stock 3 point. Never had it happen. Everyone I have ridden with said no problem lets go.You do wear the standard 3 point harness over the top. That way you get no lights warnings or messages and your airbags all work as designed. These will lock you into your seats. I just sold Black Jack so I have no need for them. Best offer and they are yours. Also have a set of Wheels for sale with Nitto NT 01 mounted up. They have about 3 or 4 more track days left in them. Best offer.
