Interior/Exterior Palo Uber Tuner Lugs; what's up?
Here is the review: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...uct/198/cat/85 , complete with a rusted lug photo!
Well, NAM has size limits on these sorts of files, or so I thought. I also think you can see that they are brown on the inside of the lugs, even at the existing size, but I'll see if I can post a larger photo; at least I'll give it a try.

I've figured out the mystery of the PU Tuner lugs.
As we all know they are purported to be the ultimate in lugs. As you would expect then the most prestigious car builders would also use them. Bentley obviously does. How do I know this...
As we can see, Bentley contracted PU for their wheel lugs too. Must have been from the same bad batch.

Hundreds of owners of Bentley Arnages and Azures have had their £225,000 cars recalled because of fears the vehicles' wheels may fall off.
Bentley advised 550 owners to bring their cars in for checks after it was discovered the wheel retaining bolts had been manufactured with the wrong threads.
The models affected are the Azure and Arnage R, T and RL produced between February 2005 and August 2006.
The Government's Vehicle and Operator Services Agency, which issued the recall, warned: 'This can result in the wheel bolts becoming loose, with the possibility that a wheel might detach.'

Actually, I've been thinking of a way PU can turn this disaster into a win-win. I think the shade of rust on my lugs would go just perfectly with a Hot Orange Mini. Any one game?

It is new and bumped threads that attract readers, and when someone writes a review, it is usually posted as a new thread. It becomes a cycle that feeds itself. Doing searches of the forums does not include the reviews section. The reality is that more people will learn about the PU lugs from this thread than from the review section.
Unfortunately, because of the dynamics of how people participate on NAM and how the NAM website is organized, the review section gets rather low traffic. The majority of reviews seem to be 2005 or earlier, and the actual number of reviews is low. There are some major categories that have no reviews at all, such as brake pads and audio speakers. The reviews section is potentially very valuable, but unfortunately it just hasn't turned out that way.

It is the same review and the same photo, yet now the review is not viewable while we wait on administration to re-approve the same photo, but in a larger size. :impatient This would seem to be the sort of function that ought to be automatic.
Meanwhile, on these regular threads in the forums anything goes
until someone complains about it and only then will the administration look at the matter, so why should reviews be any different?
Also, the reviews section ought to contain an eBay-type buyer/seller rating system for those who use the marketplace in order to help members decide who to trust and who to be careful about; I was told by administration that this was under consideration/development after I complained about a particular nasty little fellow for stringing me along on a buy for like a month before just backing out un-gracefully.
If the template already exists on eBay what is so difficult about instituting the same sort of program over here? I have already encountered a number of transactions on both sides of the coin, where if such a rating system had existed, it would have made all of them go much more smoothly for everyone.
Regardless of PU being a vendor on NAM, and NAM collecting revenue from them, we can't blame NAM for anything. We should blame ourselves for buying the products, and blame PU for making them. If we don't want them around, then we spread the word and tell people to stay away.
This thread is about as negative as it gets and it's been around for quite some time.
[Not aimed at anyone in this thread specifically] All of this stupid conspiracy stuff is getting a bit old.....yah, we have a hard time getting our word out compared to the advertisers.....but people aren't secretly trying to silence the negative reviewers
As long as people act mature and don't get into name-calling fights in the negative review thread....it tends to stay around until it stops getting replies. This thread is perfect proof.....no little kid fights started up, so it stays around.

I posted it and NAM approved it and then RallyMini obviously saw it; he commented the photo was a bit small to see the rust, so I tried enlarging it. Whatever the protocols are here on NAM's reviewes, it treated the replaced and enlarged photo as if it were a totally new photo and started the NAM review approval process all over again.
When this went on for longer than it took to approve the original post, I sent a comment about this ridiculous delay to the NAM administrators that this was entirely absurd and to move it along already. That was yesterday.
Why NAM is still sitting on this is anybody's guess, although it is probably just low priority and sometimes these reviews get approved quickly, like the first time, and sometimes it takes awhile, like now.
It sure is frustrating though!
