Interior/Exterior Palo Uber Tuner Lugs; what's up?
Thats not a good idea. A little edit htere, an little edit there and next thing ya know mods are editing posts all the time in all kinds of ways. As a group we really don't want to go there.
"We wanted to openly talk about the Uber Tuner Lugs, and clear the air."
Translation:
"We are in damage control mode and need to look like everyone writing to complain about our tuner lugs has it all wrong and do it in such a way that none of them can contradict us in this vendor only forum."

We exchanged more e-mails. No longer is anything signed by "Bryce", or "Sean", or even "Carol"; now everything is signed "Palo Uber London Co.", pretty cold, even if polite.
They said to keep checking with the card issuer. I re-checked and a credit was surprisingly and mysteriously suddenly there.
I'll only believe it once I see my statement. I just got one, so in another month I'll know for sure.
Is anyone here planning on buying their new batch of lugs?
If so, I have a wrench you might like to have and an extra key.
I always grin when I see this, since Palo Uber "London" is nothing more than a sole proprietorship based out of Newport Beach, CA. (formed 27-July-2005).
Which also makes me laugh cause they claimed to be around since 2002. I have been part of the MINI forum/scene since early 2002 when the MINI's were released in the US.......no sign of PU until much later. I guess they don't realize that you can search for company credentials?
We have been in business since 2002, and have always strived to produce the worlds finest components, which we believe is clearly illustrated by our carbon fiber scoop, our carbon fiber adjustable spoiler and our NEW carbon Fiber rear wing extension.
I'm curious, has anyone actually met any of the people that work there? Are we sure they're separate entities?
And then there is the guy that is really sick (blackie is partially to blame for this
).
Well one guy was at AMVIV at the madness booth....and then two of them are 20 year olds who have myspace pages and also work at random car dealerships. One lives in newport beach where the company is located and the other lives somewhere else out east i think.

I find the 'air tools ruin our lugs' excuse, a comically insulting, unmitigated pile of hor$esh1t. That may well happen, but not in my case.
I finger tightened each, until it was time to torque them to 88 ft lbs. I then washed the car within a week, and promptly watched them rust.
For P/U to have pointed the finger anywhere but in the mirror in this now long sordid ordeal, does nothing but chip away at their already fragile (at best) credibility in my eyes.

It is not unusual for a business to be at a "Suite" address, but since my father used to own a mail station, I also know that it is also a very common way for people to create a business address in a commercial area using a mail station mailbox number but writing it as a suite number.
So I started to look up 1048 Irvine Avenue in Newport Beach, and here is what I found:

Interesting enough, it is a business that does mail forwarding service. Anyone actually been to their business address?
After reading that, I was wondering if they really have a business location, so I took a look at their address on the website.

Yah people have done all the searching....the locations given for their other locations have all been mail addresses too.

Even funnier is that if you look up the galleries that the artist has pieces in.....they're actually just coffees shops and cafe's that happen to hang art for sale on the walls. But dont worry....PU assured me that they were 4 star restaraunts

), but if this fellow Bryce is sick with cancer I have all the sympathy in the world for him. That still doesn't mean I shouldn't be upset with how some things were handled or with some of their products.

I hope he gets well as soon as possible.....i was simply joking about the constant "blame the customer" tactic.
No offense to the owners/operators of the board - that's just the way things are.
