Well, that bothered me too, as almost every other vendor I can think of has stated they only use the card number for the particular transaction and then do not retain it. However, I would think that the number used for whatever transaction that you do would at least remain with that transaction's file or paperwork, for the vendor's own protection in case of a problem from the customer.

Wow... just when I think this situation can't get any more FUBARed... What's next? Probably you open a PU email and your John Thomas rusts off.

Those are some rusty *** lugs. What was their excuse again? The chrome couldn't get in nooks & crannys or something? Isn't chrome applied in a liquid bath? Why not just make the lugs out of stainless steel.

no, the chrome gets in there.....it just comes off with the use of any tools. The tools are enough to damage the chrome finish But don't worry....."these are the absolute best quality lugs on the market"

I know they're the best, I just wish they were better than Pep Boys quality, which by the way was also started by obscure artist, three of them in fact.

I know all about who started Pep Boys; it was Manny, Moe, and Jack. I think PU was started by Moe, Larry, and Curly.

Who are you trying to fool? Those lugs were obviously abused with an air impact wrench, then Photoshopped for good measure. Either that or it was just a bad batch .

They look pretty scary, with potential to turn into a safety hazard! Something like this could happen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyMDNzhfwn0

That YouTube video has already been used for effect in a joke about PU I bleieve (maybe even earlier in this very thread), but you get an "A" for effort.

Well, see, I was only the second one to point this out as already being used here, but PGT had an advantage over me, having been the first one to use it.

Finally did a vendor review; it still needs admin approval, but here is a link for now: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...hp?product=204

Hear ye, hear ye!

Ferguson was good to his word, as he approved and formally posted (with photos) my Palo Uber "vendor" review. The link to it is below.

I hope Mark approved my vendor review because he found it to be fair and even-handed, without rancor. Let's see if Palo Uber threatens something now, as they are getting fair treatment, probably better than many think they deserve, and I can back up everything I said with the numerous e-mails between us. Also, I’ll be dropping my credit card disputes with UBER as soon as I have written evidence in the form of my credit card account statements that I had the erroneous charge removed and received the credit for the lugs I returned.

I think it about time someone reviewed UBER and did more than just complain about them in these forums. I know the review section seems under-utlized, but it is a more timeless section that NEEDS to be used. So, PLEASE add your own comments under my review, assuming you are one of the "lucky" ones to have done business with Palo Uber.

^^^^

How much you want to bet that the few (3?) PU supporters are the first ones to dash off a rebuttal to my vendor review? I am sure PALO UBER will marshall its troops to counter-act my review; I know one of the UBER fans already piled on to my favorable review of the PU CF scoop to readily agree with me. So, if you've been frustrated by an UBER product or the less than great UBER customer service, get over there and say your piece.

Well, so far no rebuttals, but also Uber has stopped, at least for right now, sending me e-mails about the credit card dispute; I guess they figured it was just better to wait out my receipt of the credit card statements, which I would expect will show up in the next week to 10 days. Probably the first smart thing they have done recently. This will all go away for them (the disputed charges) as long as they finally did the right thing and reversed the incorrect charge and issued the credit.

Thanks for pitching in and doing your part Vic! I wish someone though would go over to the PU vendor review and add a personal experience comment; at the moment I think I am the only one to have made an effort at a review over there.

Looks like gnatster took up the challenge and he gave it his all, giving it to Palo Uber with a 2 review.

PU valance?

Anyone out there try this one? The PU rear valance? I was just wondering if they had the same results I did. By using the supplied drill bit, and screws, you end up breaking the valance itself. The screws are bigger in diamater than the bit itself. So, alas, when screw the screws in, fiberglass being the not forgiving thing it is, it cracks/breaks.

I emailed/pmed them quite a bit. But, they have not answered. This was a LONG time ago, and I have since given up on them actually replying.

Oh, forgot, I also tried to do the "post a review" thing, but it doesn't look like it worked...

Which rear valence do you mean? The one to allow two exhausts or do you mean one of the spoilers?

Sounds like another issue of improper research and design on PU's part if the screws aren't even the right size It really seems like they sell products without even test fitting them on their own car first

For the record...I bought a set of PU chrome tuner bolts to go along with for my car's summer wheels.

...when I was looking for the right sized bolts for my car, it's a late '06 build so it uses the newer size, I was limited on what I could choose from at the time...so I went with PU.

To date my bolts have NOT RUSTED at all. I should note they are still in the box and have never been installed, however, no rust is present.

rear lower valance on the bumper

It has cutouts on each side, allowing pipe to come out of the mufflers straight out the back, vice bending so comes out the middle. Just like the Blue Flame exhaust has.
