Interior/Exterior Brake duct install...

I've got a set of the ducts here with me and my Cooper, and it doesn't look like it's going to work:

Msfitoy - A big thank you for your photo "how to".
Gave me the confidence to do this.
Plus a .250-20UNC tapped hole for the fender well housing mounting - no "structural zip-ties" here.

Sid, on the passenger side, how much clearance do you have between the brake duct and the crank pulley? From my estimation it looks between 1" and 2", probably closer to 1". I'm a bit worried that simply zip-tying the duct to the liner won't be enough.
I'm half way done right now.....have both sides trimmed and one side of the fasic cut out. Need to find myself a rivet gun now.

The reason I use zip ties is to allow a floating connection between the duct and the funnel which is fixed to the facia...the facia will flex independent of the chassis during hard cornering so the zip ties against the duct act as a spring tentioner holding the two together...

Nothing to worry about Shoe...even my zip ties has held tight...there's plenty of space from the pulley...

Also you had mentioned earlier that you needed to trim the aluminum bumper corners slightly. On the driver below, this is the area you're talking about, right?
On the passenger side, at least, I didn't have to trim any metal. Perhaps this slight difference is due to the difference in the way we lined up the ram intake on the cover?
Thanks for the comments. Always helpful....
