I'm afraid not...

Well the standoff arrived today and they're really trick...but, they're a bit longer than what I had thought and will not interface with the M7 splitter...Oh Goody...another excuse to mod

I place an order for a sheet of 1/8" fiberglass to prototype a more agressive splitter that will lead under the motor (a true splitter) and extend further out from the bumpers...for those of you who saw my WB design at MOTD, you know what these standoffs will look like...

If things work out with this prototype, I'll make one out of CF...

Great install, thanks for showing and sharing with us. I got to get your stuff over to my fab guy. Of all the Mini's I've seen MISFIT TOY is the one the insipires me the most. The attention detail makes my own attempts pale in comparison.

Sis, question since you have seen everthing behing the facia. If one wanted to add brake ducts but simply wanted to leave facia as is and attach ducting to the stock fog light hole - would you still need to do all that cutting?

I think that can be done Bart...flexible hose of the fog lamps diameter is much smaller than this ducting so nothing will need to be trimmed...you'll need to find a way to attach the ducting to the facia as the trim flange of the opening is very shallow...maybe RTV...

And Scott...next time look up under Msfitoy...there's no pee pee...it's a SHE...

Splitters/standoffs comes with M7's kit...the new standoffs are from a racing supply source to go with a new custom deep splitter to be fabbed soon...

Hey MSFITOY....I didn't see in the pages if those ducts would fit to the aero kit. If not, are there plans for some cause they would sure compliment the Stoptechs. Plus, they are the reason I removed my fogs months ago.

Ta Daaa...

The standoffs installed in record time...I was moving fast forward in an effort to beat the thunderstorm rolling in on me while I out on the driveway

This is the M7 splitter...when the new material arrives, I'll prototype The ATTACK Splitter...

They're attached to the frame now...until next time...

Sid,

Looking at the air passage through the front I couldn't stop wondering, as it was discussed before, of a method to block things from going down that huge opening and then by looking at a GP front I saw that the opening has a cone shape piece that I thought it could be incorporated in the outer shell of the kit you have on Msfitoy... looks more aerodynamic and blocks large objects from going in. Although, it will require more work and thought than just adding a grill... Just a thought

Casper...I heard the GT's duct is none functional...In my WB sketch (which will be shown in MC2 next time), there is a design element bar...I'm not really concerned...If I hit anything like a squirrel, I'd know it...Then I'd stop and give it a proper burrial anyway...

I hope Msfitoy never hit a squirrel or anything of that size, or larger, for that matter. I never inspected a GP up close, but I didn't think that MINI will have those as functional ducts anyway . It would have been a nice thing to see a cool element like that to be functional... I can't wait to see what you come up with next...

Here in new england we have a time when frogs migrate. I used to find half frogs jammed between the top of the splitter and the bumper. Hmmm.... maybe that's why they call it a 'splitter'
