Thanks for the thought. It's been raining on and off for three plus weeks. I think I saw that Kauai was hard hit with about 120 inches of rain in that time.
A dam broke with severe flooding and loss of life.

This week more rain and that's unusual for us. We'd rather have more clear weather. Also it's pretty bad for the tourist not to have great weather when visiting. The other day after it rained most of the day I went to have dinner at Waikiki and I noticed some tourists busy having fun on the beach in the dark after the sun set- just because it was raining earlier and they could not enjoy the beach as much.

My daughter is home this week from school in Indiana due to spring break and was a bit depressed that we aren't having more sunny weather. Oh well.

this weather sucks

--Yeah this weather sucks. DO be careful out there in the rain. Welcome to NAM MiniNurse.

Usually we expect this kinda rain in April but March is usually dryer than this. If we're lucky maybe the it'll dry up by April and we'll just get our dryer months sooner this year. Hang in there everyone and beware of the DEEP puddles. They've been known to kill Mini Coopers. S models are more resistant to hydrolocking, but just drive slow through deep streetwide puddles and you'll usually be okay. But if the SUV dissappears in front of you. Stop and turn around!!!

Today many of our roads were definitely not for Motoring in a MINI.

H-1 was flooded, Windward side was knee deep in water, Waikiki a river, and even 'town was under water.

Heard some MINIs "hydro-locked" trying to cross lakes on the road

Some of those potholes are deep enough to swallow half your wheel

Be careful out there and don't let your MINI drink too much rain water

We are seeing some sun today so hopefully we can dry out a bit.

If you front yard looks like this-

Or if the road where you live looks like this-

Then you might not want to travel too far out with your MINI.
Mine is only about 2.5 inches off the ground and I have to be wary of standing water. Maybe some deep potholes are hiding submerged waiting to eat me up!

I mostly drive where I can see the road is safe. Also applies at night.

moon walk

--I just saw a dump truck swerve off the road to avoid a pothole that was as wide as my wheelbase!!!! Those aren't potholes anymore they're craters!!! Mufi better do something soon or we're gonna have to bring our pitchforks and torches to the capitol!!!

Damn is this place turning into Samoa? Do we have to arrest some politicians before they pave the road?
