Can I replace the GP2 wing with the R56 rear wing?
I am picking up my new GP2 tomorrow and am not a big fan of the rear wing. Does anyone know for sure whether or not it is removable, and if so, can I replace it with the standard Cooper S wing? Depending on how this goes, I plan on selling the GP2 wing. It will be brand new.
You may be the first person taking off a GP wing to put on a cooper S spoiler. While I think you can do it the only thing you might have a problem with is on the last GP wing I seen taken off is that there are mounting tabs (that hold the wing) glued into the rear glass window. Im not sure if removing those is something that can be done with out removing the rear glass. But maybe someone else can chime in here also to help you. Its funny I just put on the GP wing lol good luck!
The rear wing makes the car? That doesn't even make any sense. The only reason I even considered selling it was I was sick and tired of young punks trying to race me when they saw a chick behind the wheel. I figured if the car didn't stand out as much, no one would know I could more than likely blow their a$$ away!

No, the GP wing do not make the car and yes you can remove it. Put the standard spoiler on and remove all of the decals (including the jcw badges). It's your car for you-ification.
I was simply referring to the people in Rav4's and Juke's who seem to believe their cars would somehow be faster. So yes, Mini Cooper's can blow someone's *** away!!!
I bet you would. You must be used to be dealing with stupid people. The GP wing retails over 2k through Mini.
Nice try!!
Personally I think the wing on the GP makes the car, it's my favorite thing about it. If you honestly want to take it off it's your decision. Honestly it won't solve your problem of people trying to race you, you still have large red calipers with other red accents, don't forget a rear diffuser. You bought a fast car that looks fast and expect people not to race you... People would race me on a daily basis in my 2007 Cooper S which didn't look like it was modded or anything, yes it was annoying but you have a choice to be the better person and not race. My 2013 JCW looks more intimidating and faster than my old car and I surprisingly get less people trying to race me.
Why don't you enjoy your car and not care about people trying to race you, no one is making you race. Only way to solve your problem is to paint it pink or buy a Prius. You don't have to prove your car to anyone.
I had no idea the wing sells for 2k, the GP2 is just plain expensive. Get some aftermarket wheels and plastidip the flashy bits, people will leave you alone.
