GP rear suspension is different of reg MINI

Just install bilstein pss9 on my mini GP,but find out the rear suspension is different of reg mini ,may be because of the aluminum arm ,but finally the shop help me to made a adapter to fit prefect,so i think all the aftermarket coilover or suspension it won't fit on a mini gp.
Here is some pics so u can check it.

shades of R56 I bet!

Along with the larger lug bolts seen on GPs and JCWs since July, I will bet this is going to be standard fare on the new R56 cars, and these are the first production parts out there.

Can you tell me if there was any fabrication needed, or what the adapter was for?? I've got #1207, and I've ordered the H&R coilovers. Wondering if it'll be a problem. Thanks.

I forgot about this and then was reminded about it on Saturday when we went to install the AST coilovers on my GP and sure enough we had to put everything back together stock for the time being once we realized we'll need to fabricate an adaptor piece. I hope to get this done before we go to MOTD so I can enjoy the improved suspension on those twisty backroads!

J Propane - Thanks for the note. I found out about Helix already having the bushing about an hour after I posted here. They shipped a set to me right away and I'm scheduled to do the coilover installation this Friday afternoon. I hope we don't encounter any other "issues" with the installation!
