i'm also interested in swapping the upper grill with the black. But does a GP have a middle grill?

On another note, for anyone that had swapped your grill, how hard is it?

Thanks!

I would look into the M7 grills personally. When i do change them out, those would be the ones I go with. From what i remember, the JCW don't look all that different.

The GP has a different middle section than other bumpers so the middle grill (called the lower grill in the Aero Kit) will not fit the GP without modification.
I believe the GP lower grill (large grill in bumper) is the same shape as the Aero Kit grill.

Here is a link to the JCW grills:

Here are a few places that sell the Aero Kit grills:

It is a relatively simple mod. I recently added this to GP0411

JCW Grill, TOP: OEM Part# 51-13-0-140-259
Flange Nut (you will need 11 of them) OEM Part# 07-14-9-116-541

You need to apply pressure from behind the flange nuts as you remove them.

Paint the outside of the aero grille same as the car and ding

you could just black out the slats and you'd have that same affect..

How about painting the brake ducts black like this one.. looks nice i think.

Thanks for all the info, suggestions and pictures. I ordered both the top and middle grill today. Didn't order the flash nuts so I will do so tomorrow. Thanks again!

Got the upper grill done today. I used the MINI JCW grill direct from the dealer. Bought the middle one but it isn't the correct size :(

I think the slats look pretty cool black too. But the JCW grill looks best when the surround is painted body color.

Where do I get the Lower Grill delete?

I have the slatted grill, and I am looking for one of the 2 types of the grill deletes like you have in the pictures. I have a 2003 MCS.

The bottom section Aero Grille * require a little modification to fit Cooper and Cooper S bumper.

If you are talking about a slat delete I think you are referring to the JCW GP front bumper, which comes with the molded center slat around in it. Near where the license plate would be.

JCW GP Front Bumper Panel - Primed

It in the picture above with the factory JCW GP " Thunder Blue metallic : even though it looks like dark silver-ish.

The Yellow modified MINI has that bumper also , just painted differently.

Thanks

I See what is going on now... Euro Plate makes it look like a full strip... I am going to try to make my own insert possibly... Now I have a new project.

Thank you ESCTuning for the clarification of what I was looking at.
