So a man buys a farm...
(mods, feel free to move if considered off topic... But there's a Mini in the story, so I figured Mini Talk is fair game

Thank you Wagnbat,
What a find,
I actually read Portuguese, so I was able to read the complete thread.
Apparently the owner past away, at this time they do not know yet what is going to happen to this eclectic collection.
I will keep you posted

How in the world would you decide what to keep, what to sell, and what to start restoring?
I'd probably spend the rest of my life wandering around them, tinkering with one after another and completing nothing of consequence at all. And die happy for having done it.

Any Portugese lawyers in the house ??
Makes me wonder if there's a law stating the cars would not be part of the sale of the property, neither specifically nor under assumption, and therefore would be part of the deceased seller's estate.
I guess we'll see... when Victor updates us on the story (thanks, Victor).

I look at the pictures and can't help but wonder how he's going to pull any of them out.
IMO the MINI's, Porsche's and Formula cars are deffinate keepers but there's so many unique and strange cars in there it would be hard to choose amongst the rest. And if one were to restore them, where would they start?

Considering the owner is likely a car nut, they may be in fine condition, only they've sat around since he was unable to play with them anymore. How long could that have been? 5-10 years if he died recently I'd guess. Maybe as much as 20 if it's been a while, and the heirs never realised what they had stashed away on grandpa's property.
That is AMAZING! Thats the kind of thing us muscle car lovers dream of, of course we're just hoping for one car, good grief. I hope the previous owners don't try and screw the new owner out of all those cars, he did rightfully purchase them, if the sellers cared what was in the barn they should have cut the latch before selling the place.
WOW
what a collection. I hope the person who bought the farm gets to keep them. It would be sad for the man's heirs to have any claim to them because they obviously never visted or kept in touch with grandpa or they would have know those treasures were in there
