General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
23 Here, and I must agree I haven't seen too many young MINI owners in the Milwaukee area. All my friends love my car though, so I am trying to talk them into buying one. I would love to meet some younger MINI owners!
I'm 27, do I still count as young? (Honestly, I feel old sometimes because most of my co-workers already have families.) Also, does Waukesha count as "Milwaukee area"?
Counts as Milwaukee to me! I'm actually in Wauwatosa, but I am on the border of Waukesha and Milwaukee.
Cool. Don't forget to drop by one of the Milwaukee MINI club ice cream socials before the year is out--and there's also the Cubs-Brewers game at the end of September!
The one thing I love about MINIs is that you see 19 year olds driving them and people in their 50's and 60's too. That's one of my favorite parts about the MINI community.
23 here. I live in Tallahassee (definitely a college town) so there are plenty of young MINI drivers around here, but most of them never acknowledge any other MINI on the road. It's always the older MINI drivers in town that share the love.
21 here, had the MINI for about 3 years. I'm in Tampa and have seen a few of the younger drivers at USF, and it's true! It's only the older MINI driver who wave or weave through traffic with you. Crazy.

Most definitly, my car has been in and out of the shop for the last month, so I didn't have it last week, for the cream city social (Kinda irratated by that, and the fact that it takes 2 weeks to get into international autos to have it relooked at) I'm dropping it off again tomorrow, and hopefully it will be the last time I have to
FYI for younger owners who go to international autos in milwaukee...if you're not 25 they will not give you a loaner while they work on your car, even if it's their fault you have to bring it in again.
Kindof in the same boat here, im 20 and i got the Mini back in highschool about four years ago, paid in full by myself - had to have it.
I just posted in the single people thread saying that i felt really young...then i found this hahaah Love it.
At least im not alone.

I'm 17 now and on my second Mini S, I got the first one when I was 15 and yessss I earned it by not hassling my parents all the time and getting good grades. (p.s. yes when I was 15 the Mini was bought for me but it sat in the garage for a while)
