Oh holy crap, true "lol" moment (trying to keep the chat theme going). Not bagging honda, they make (a few) badass cars [s2k, civic si & prelude (with tasteful modifications, which isn't too often given their stereotypical drivers)]. That statement truly brought me back to when I was 14-15 years old and everyone in my school who were other "car guys" wouldn't ever shut up about "YA HONDUHZ NEW CIVIC WILL BEAST ANYTHING GO VTEKKK!!!" I honestly had to get kleenex a few times two wipe the blood draining out of my ears.

Ahhh yes another recovering Honda addict. Just know that it'll be a very hard transition. You will have torque. You will have great handling. You will have a community who is more concerned with fun throughout the whole tachometer, than hitting 8k RPM. Trust me, you'll LOVE being clean of your Honda roots. haha

It really does get old quick. It's great for a first car to learn things on (what to do, what not to do), but after a while you realize what you have: an economy sedan/coupe/hatchback designed to get good gas mileage, good reliability- and that's IT.

All they were concerned about at Ephach was getting higher and higher into the rev range. I did more and more research and found that most honda engines have X=WHP and (2/3)X= torque even if you modded the hell out of it, my point: useless modding a honda unless its for looks. These guys were moving more and more towards RICE. I like the euro scene much better and wants to do more than " OMgz leTZ DrAAg!!!"

say X is the horsepower, 2/3 X (two thirds of X) is the torque. Honda engines suck at producing torque.

I'm all for the Cali party, Crrikey! I have no idea where Concord is, though.

Love the MINI, by the way! Great colors!

25 yrs old. North Carolina represent!

I have no idea why MINIs appeal so largely to an older audience... they're inexpensive, should be a young person's car!

Don't know what you'd call expensive.

Where in NC are you located? Any close to the Gap?

i'm proud to say that i did nothing to my 99 honda prelude the entire time i had it. the previous owner seemed to have control too as he only had a K&N drop in filter and pretty nice strut brace. other than that, totally stock, but the prelude didn't really leave me feeling cheated like i imagine a civic would.
