C'mon... just $270.00/mo. You won't even notice!

You pay 200+ a month for car insurance?? That's crazy. I'm through Progressive and have it at just under 100/mo.

Us youngins have it tough. I pay about 115 a month (I'm 21) for 250k/500k Liability, 100k Property coverage.

LOL. I've always been a fan of the "If I can't pay for it with cash, then I'm not buying it" theory.

Besides, I'm up to my eyeballs in health, car and renter's insurance. Insurance in MA is not cheap regardless of what its for.

Well, I taught him how to drive stick.

He's not the most experienced yet but he's decent and responsible.

I remember when I was 17 and driving stick to go to a summer job.
I wasn't exactly great at it but practice helped (three speed column shifter!). My older brother was my teacher. I drove an automatic at 16.

Later on 4 years later I bought my first new car a Honda Civic sedan 5 speed.

Great fun and I was 22 years old at the time. Would have bought a MINI if it were available.

Who knows maybe my son will inherit the MINI but I'm still driving it daily so not yet.

When you're in college $270 is a lot. haha

Actually, it's not that bad... I'd be working this much anyways, so why not have a go-kart with a supercharger?

Nothing better than walking out after a crappy day of work and seeing her sitting there. haha

I'm still Mini-less (picking up a 2005 DS Cooper S this weekend but I'm 20. My 1st car which was a 200 V6 Accord was from money I saved up since I was really small is finally getting sold this weekend after almost 4 years together. I've wanted a Mini since the first BMW concept and I am ecstatic that I'm finally getting one. Granted, my bank account will be a little lower but hey, I'm finally getting one! So after this weekend I'll be a 20 year old Cooper S owner! I'll also make this my introduction to the forum. I'm 20, from Long Island, go to school and work for a large computer company. I used to race go-karts so I'm looking to get into auto-x with my soon to me Cooper. So excited!!
