im not huge on concerts, id rather just listen to a cd and save the cash, although i went to the Foo Fighters concert about 2 months ago and it was pretty seet. Oh and I go out with friends, get drunk and couple bad decisions.
I think this is getting a little off-topic, maybe someone should request this moved to the off-topic area...
anyhow...
I pretty much go to the desert and the river a ton. I have a 1987 Suzuki Samurai for the offroading stuff and I wakeboard at the river and lounge in the sun. Don't really go out too too much. I like to save the money, buy some coronas and stay in with the bf and my dog, maybe invite some friends over and watch a good movie. Thinking about buying an HD TV soon
I used to go to dog beach religiously until my poor puppy broke his pelvis . Only 2 more weeks until he can run and play outside again!
I do a lot of cycling. I'm a road bike nerd. You should see the looks I get stepping out of the MINI with my tights on. It's priceless. Other than that I play guitar and build guitars for a living. I also sit around and wonder how there aren't any other young MINI owners from the Lehigh Valley. I know they exist, they just aren't on here.
I am a young soon-to-be MINI owner. I'm a 20 year old college student. Glad to see that so many young people love these cars. I only ever see older people drive MINI's around where I live.
superduper - I totally want to get into SM. I've been looking at donor cars to buy recently and hope to be on track racing in 2010. Any tips for a noob starting out?
I hear ya on that one. Just broke up with my gf of seven years and we have a house together. **** is going to get tight but the MINI is more important than food if you ask me.
Any other young drivers out there struggling to pay for their mini? Ones that have other financial responsibility and attending school?
not really struggling to pay for my mini, bcuz my loan is set up to auto draft out of my checking, what im struggling on is the mods i want to add. i REALLY want big brakes and another set of wheels/tires.
yes! i am always a month or two late on my payment, i have 4 school loans, couple credit cards, insurance, car payment, rent, gas,
great googly moogly batman! I'd watch out, I have heard that bill collectors can be pretty nasty. Not to long ago one of my friends skipped a few credit card payments... bill collectors called and harassed the carp out of him and threatened to break his legs.
Four school loans? How is that possible? I know there are private (plus) loans and government (stafford) loans but there are more?

I guess you can say I'm young, I'm 26.
Im racing in SM right now. If your looking for a cheap car to race do a miata or a honda civic (alot of parts, and proven autocross cars) The best thing you can do for SM class is get a good set of track tires (Kumho 710, or Hoosier A6) This will make the biggest difference, followed by suspension (really stiff rear Swaybar). If you go out to an event go check witht the people putting it on and get a helmet or bring your own, other than that practice makes perfect so just go at it, oh and "drive slow to go fast". The most important thing is to drive smoothly, usually the run that feels the slowest ends up being your fastest time, . Have fun. PS me and my dad are trying to put on an Autocross event at the next AMVIV, check out our site for more updates when the time gets closer. Wyvernmini.com
