I think you should get your "own" section in here so all of us "not so young" MINI owners can watch you make all the same mistakes we made years ago with Camaros and Volkswagens ect.... LOL

At least we are changing from the dark side this early instead of being l33t Honda/VW/cavalier owners until we are 30 years old and realize that those cars arent really that great. They are good at what they do, taking people from point A to B and not much else, they are people's cars. There is a local group here in denver (will remain nameless) but they are obsessed with their 2002-2005 Civic Si's (EP3's) they refuse to see that the EP3 wasnt exactly Honda's greatest creation and are blinded by their pride. One member in particular believes that his EP3 (being the fastest car of the group) can "destroy" anything. I brought up the idea that the EP3 is a pig, weighing in at a whopping 3670lbs, and is hard to keep such a heavy car competitive with lighter cars like the r53, weighing 2672lbs, in which he totally dismissed and denied. I am particularly fond of my future ownership of an R53 and will probably never return to the honda/Vw world.

Im 20 now but I picked up my MINI when I was 19. I love the fact that this car is usually driven by the 30+ crowd, keeps the attention of those who wear blue uniforms limited.

oddly enough that is the SLOWEST of all the civic si's ever made is it not? All the car magazines say it's trash, especially when compared to the new one. What a fool.

Thank you D-Unit. You basically summed up my rant in those three sentences.
Yeah, that guy is practically a dumba$$

Counting the days till I get my R53...
It is a blessing that I befriended someone that babied their R53 now him and his wife are both selling their r53's (yes they both have identical cars). This is his first, yes first, car and he would prefer that it go to someone who would care for it instead of a "nameless punk off the street". They are trading the other one for a clubman, So I have until they get the clubman in august to save up.

I had talked to the publisher of MC2 magazine a few months back- he said the average age of a MINI owner is 49!

Looks like I've got 'em beat by 30 years.

23 Here, and I must agree I haven't seen too many young MINI owners in the Milwaukee area. All my friends love my car though, so I am trying to talk them into buying one. I would love to meet some younger MINI owners!

23 here. I live in Tallahassee (definitely a college town) so there are plenty of young MINI drivers around here, but most of them never acknowledge any other MINI on the road. It's always the older MINI drivers in town that share the love.
