Hi fellow Space Blue MINIs!

I took delivery of my 2006 Space Blue MCSa the last week of July '06. I love it. The colour is very unique...I have not seen any other space blues in this area (Central Jersey Shore/Red Bank/Eatontown/Monmouth County) but I'm sure they exist. Someone said they stopped offering Space Blue, is that true?

My favorite thing about Space Blue is the different appearances the car takes on in different lighting conditions... in the evening it looks purple, almost black... in bright sun it looks shimmery sky blue...it's a very dynamic colour.

yes it is an awesome color! and yes it is true, space blue has been D/C so it is much more limited now since it is not available anymore. I also believe that the silver roof is not available anymore as well.

I have seen one or two around on the road randomly within the past 6 months not including MINI runs. Other than that I see other colors all the time.

 

I'm really glad I don't see mini's all the time driving around. It's much more fun wondering "when is the next time I'm going to see one"

 

Just got one right off the dealers show room floor in August. Wow, what a car. I get all kinds of comments on the color too. Just love it!

 

YOu know when i said that i haven't seen any around, i mean space blue MINI's. I see MINI's everyday on the road. I see a few a day. Just not the space blues.

is it true that space blue and the silver roof are both no longer avialable?

they are still both on the MINIUSA configurator thing.

 

They are here till the end of the '06 line up. The only thing you can no longer get is a checkmate. Space blue is here until the 07's roll out.

space blue is an awesome color that you don't see many of, pepper white is very classic, but for our sakes we hope you choose space blue!!

 

What do I have to do to join the Space Blue MINI club? I probably should considering the fact that I probably have one of the oldest Space Blues. I picked up mine in October... (2005)

No, there are probably ten or more Space Blues in our club, but of course, we have almost 400 members!

 

we have about 300 members...so we're not a real small club, although we have a core group of about 50 that do things regularly.

 

That's true, we a much smaller core group that are regularly active.

 

My Space Blue w/silver roof is getting painted right now and will be assembled shortly after that.

So, sign me up for the Space Blue Club!
